(Reviews System) Possible Replacement To The Reputation System

As everyone on this website knows, if you've been on here for atleast a month, that the reputation system is quite corrupt and is easily abused.
I myself believe that the reputation system should be removed, as it is highly abused, and it's not even reliable.

I've thought of a possible solution to this, and it's reviews. These reviews would be on a thread shop, maybe below and in order to review you would actually have to provide a picture atleast or some type of info that you actually purchased from the user. This cannot be abused easily, as you can't just go on the reviews and say "vouch, nice person". You actually have to have experience with the product, almost like resources and how you can review, BUT the same style as a thread.

Just to clear things up, this won't replace comments, but will clean up comments a bit as everything will be more organized, and not cluttered

Thank you, it's just a simple idea but it will help the community in the long run.

Although the staff do do a lot of work and I'm not sure how much reports come in on false neg reputation, but I do believe there should be proof that needs to be added in neg repping or reports to be checked more often because I've seen people neg rep people back for no reason for "false neg repping" when it was valid or "doesn't use csgolotto"...

I can agree this sounds like a good idea, but it would be difficult to implement a new reputation system. I do find it annoying when I see someone with 30+ rep and I click on their profile to just find "Nice guy, bought my account", "Really funny guy, enjoyed playing on that server with you", "Vouch, very professional user" shit like that is pointless.

Maybe MCM just needs to hire "RepHunters" who go through and remove all the BS rep from users. But I am sure that will stir up the community.

Yeah, its hard to implement a new system, but with rep hunters that would be 10x the work

Imo rep is fine as it is, but allowing people to ask for rep was a mistake, and so was allowing rep to be used when no deal has taken place.

Uhm, if you read the post, this would ONLY be on the THREAD, and the REVIEWS would be relevant to the product itself, and it will prevent people from just adding rep, because it will require you to purchase the product before actually posting a rating. This is similar to a reputation but will significantly decrease abuse of ratings of a user, and it isolates reviews to an actual product/service that they sell.

There already are rules implemented for the reputation system that try to decrease the amount of false reps or abuse, but this community is too big for this.

A review system would require the user to actually purchase or use the product or service before reviewing

Also, reviews and reputation are two totally seperate things.

I've advocated using reviews several times. The current "trade rating" is a decent first step. I'm tired AF right now, but I"ll take a good look at this suggestion for any problems.

The main problem with this community is not its size, but its obsession with quantity. Even now we're counting the amount of positive rep instead of the quality of each review.
