Ok so I’ve been gathering info from my preivious thread about deal only reputation and have come up with a compromise.
The main points from both sides are these
For All Rep:
-shows community who you are
-for a general idea of your character and how you conduct yourself
-used for services
Deal only:
-true measure of trust
-feel as all rep makes forum feel censored
Here is what I came up with
The overall system at the moment seems flawed or too heavily based upon. People walk on egg shells around others. In the real world you will run into people you don’t like. I’m not arguing that there are extremely toxic people who deserve to have this type of rep all that I’m saying is the current way it’s used is flawed and makes for a censored environment. I can rephrase and change the suggestion for a more strict way of repping. The way I look at it is for a toxic person to be deemed this for their time on mcm there should be proof of chat for several instances submitted with the reputation. Scam reports require proof so why shouldn’t rep. If not it could be easily removed and warn the user for repping without proving the other user has done anything. I do not believe I’m toxic if Johnny from Kansas gets mad at me because I said his account isn’t og and don’t want to have to explain to everyone why or lose deals because of it.
