Revive Semi-OG Section

I'm not gonna say I've been here since the old ancient days, but I remember a little while ago (when I wasn't a registered member) the semi section was always popped with amazing igns. Now all I see is 1-5 dollar semis here and there, and unused words.

Maybe like add a prefix/suffix maximum

Here's an example
Reading --> Readings

Idk if this made sense, but essentially only adding 1 prefix or suffix to the OG of the word (exceptions can be made)

I have no idea on how to implement this, but maybe you guys could come up with ideas in the comments idfk.

This is also very beneficial for scammers
1. Sell 1 dollar semis
2. Boost rep
3. Exit scam

If this was added it'd make it a bit harder for them, and less hassle for people who wanted a "good" semi. In my opinion, all the random words are really not semis.

Most people think that because they're on namemc upcoming names they're semis :/

I mean honestly just limiting it to real words would eliminate like 25% of the section (like, yes, Bladings and Sushis look cool, but they aren't words), put a prefix/suffix max of like 2 (wake - awake - awaken - reawaken - reawakening? come on) and you're good

Multiple types of sushi are referred to as 'sushis' in the way that multiple types of fish are 'fishes'

Would be no reason to make something like that. They would be fresh Migrated accounts which isn't worth a thread . Thank you for the feedback tho.

The MC name Vaccinal was available for more than 2 years and Ability changed his MC name from whatever it was to Vaccinal in 2018 and he's trying to say people put names like Sushis in the semi when he is no better putting non-semis in the semi section :rofl:

Because it's part of your whole suggestion, to revive the semi section and he seemed like he was semi agreeing with you but he's also trashing the semi section with non semis so he was just contradicting himself.

It would have been better to add your suggestion for quality control within the existing thread for it rather than create another.

My stance on the topic is the same as I expressed there. I'd prefer a system which allows the community to passively determine what accounts are OG enough for the semi section, rather than wasting staff time on reports on a name maybe not being OG enough.

Sometimes a name or phrase gets really popular, even though it doesn't fit within the standard "No suffix" rule. So automatically denying a name just because it doesn't fit the standard is not accurate.
What determines whether an account is OG or not is, after all, solely dependent upon the reactions of the people who see it.
