Hi! I developed a server a while back and now looking how much it could reasonably be worth. It's a custom RPG server built on the foundation of a old-school RPG game. Sadly the server was mismanaged(admin abuse, tweaking features that users didnt like since they played due to nostalgia, etc) and only ran on a Swedish playerbase that was nostalgic about another server that worked like that one back in 2012. Since then there has been several attempts at making a server like this but all failed up until ours. Either by massive amount of lag on 50+ players or simply that they were riddled with bugs. At its peak it handled around 150 players concurrently at no problem. Server is 1.17.1 but could be upgraded. It consists of one major plugin at 40k line that manages essentially everything except world edit, permissions and punishments. Server brought in $2000 is pre-sales of VIP at first release but due to being inproperly managed never saw those numbers again. I believe with a re-release to an English playerbase with proper staffs & administration, this could easily be achieved again. I also think a lot of the players which were unhappy while our server was active will re-join a new possible server as long as its properly managed.
What does this come with then? It has plenty of features, including stuff like paid ranks that easily can be managed using a command. Ranks auto expire and theres 3 plans to it. Except our main plugin, world and such it also comes with a resource pack with custom resources such as sound, font, icons and items.
Brief info about how the server works:
Essentially, you got two nations. You can pick up to 7 classes and your xp saves per class. So you can have a lvl 5 mage and a lvl 80 archer. There is zones, these zones are essentially locations on the map with different "settings". Some has pvp on, some has no pvp and some has only nation vs nation. Some zones also has level requirements; and one zone is controlled by who wins the daily clan wars event. Events is automatic events that run after a schedule. These range from nation war to a mob arena-like custom event. These events are scheduled for one per hour so theres always something to play. Awards scale depending on rank. The main goal is to reach a higher level so you can use better items. You get better stats the higher level you are. You can upgrade your items with a risk of failure. You can have jewelry in inventory specific slots that increase stats. To simplify, you kill monsters, advance to better spots, kill more, participate in events for rewards.

It is a very complex gamemode. We intended on adding quests and we even has typed down a lot of quests to help the player learn, but never got around to it due to server dying
. Let me know if something is unclear as well since I understand its a lot of information.
Just interested if this could go for anything.

Features (some, a lot has been skipped since the server is very big):
- VIP Ranks, easy to add more ranks with different multipliers and bonuses. VIP ranks also can be added by days to a player using an command. These auto expire.
- Mounts, you can get up to around 55 different mounts ranging from pigs to flying blazes and flying carpets. Some of these drops when you kill a boss if you're lucky, some can only be purchased using real money. These works in non-pvp zones.
- Easy item Manager. Using almost no coding capabilities you can easily add, change or update new items in the game. This could easily be implemented into a format that loads items from a file.
- Clans & allies. You can have clans (which also shares XP & Coins between kills to nearby members) and allies. Allies is something your clan can do. Essentially, if a clan allies another clan (maximum of one active ally at a time and intended to "farm" easier). Allies share XP & coins between kills if in range.
- Easy monster system. You can easily add, change or delete monsters. Monsters are essentially the main way of getting xp and levels. When you kill a monster, they respawn after their respawn time(most has 30 seconds). These are essentially mobs and animals that spawn in set places that attacks you back if you hurt them. You can with ease add new monsters by simply providing entity type, location and its damage && health attributes.
- Easy class system. It is fairly easy to add new classes and change their attributes. Classes is essentially the biggest factor to how you play. Each class has two abilities (shift and right click). These range from healing your nearby teammates to going invisible with speed for 30 seconds until you attack.
- Auction house. There is a custom auction house that lets you easily put stuff up for sale and buy new items.
- Shops. There is NPC shops that let you buy stuff like potions.
- Inventory. Using your inventory you can with ease sell items by dragging them out of your inventory. Depending on what zone you got them in, percentage of the sale price might go to the nation bank and or Clan bank.
- Kings. Once you reach level 30 you can vote for a person to become king for their nation. A king can start XP event in change for 10 million coins (or simply withdraw the coins for themself) for their nation. This bank is fueled by peope killing monsters but also percentage of items being sold in normal zones. Kings has capes and can see Rogue's Stealth ability (invisible for X time). These get elected automatically every week.
- Clan zone. There is a clan zone which the daily winner of Clan Wars (event) get to control. They can choose to open it to the nation which helps fueling their bank. (Fuels using the same system as Kings but only in their zone). This zone has 17 tiers and it ranges from bad to good monsters. This zone also has a boss where if you kill it, you get to buy upgrade scrolls (items used to upgrade items) for cheap.
- Clan based world. This is a one-time purchase for real cash. Once you purchase this for your clan, you get a plot(3x3 chunks) in a plot world (custom cool plots). You can then build using a menu openable which lists all building blocks in the game. A bit like Hypixel housing.
- Clan quest. Normally, you can have up to 7 players in your clan, but using Clan Quest (a one-time boss you can attempt for 10 million), you can get up to 2 more slots. If you die, then you get teleported back to spawn and can only hope rest of your clan can finish the boss.
- Loyality points. There is signs showing the people with the most loyality points. You lose loyality points by dying to a player. You gain points by killing other people (not pvp arenas). The top 50 loyality ranked players can get daily rewards using an NPC depending on their ranking.
- Mining. There is a pickaxe you can get to mine in some places. A example is in spawn, you can get a ore from that, that you can use to get a reward. This reward isn't that good. It is instead recommended to go to Dreamen (+30 nation war zone), that spot gives you a vastly better ore but comes with the risk of being killed by other players.
- Special bosses. There is some bosses in PvP zones that for example gives loyality points as well. There is also a boss that spawns every hour in Dreamen that teleports you to a good farming spot together with your clan for 30 minutes.
- Logging. Almost all items are logged so you can see where they come from using admin tools. All chats are also monitored using a custom socialspy command. Auctions, etc are also logged in a discord channel.
- Passwords. There is a permission node to force people to use passwords. For normal users, you can enable a password if you want. This password is essentially a extra step of verification when you join. If you've logged in using the IP within the previous 24 hours, you get automatically logged in.
- All english. Everything was coded in english so don't worry.
- New clan. New players get put into a New clan which lets them easily get to level 30.
- Banks. There is two main ways of storing. When you press F, you bring up a smaller private stash you can reach anywhere. The larger way of storing items is using the Bank NPC which lets you access up to 6 double chests worth of content.
- Nation balancing. If a nation is unbalanced, the game will balance itself depending on how many percent a nation is unbalanced. This caps to 25%.
It is a very complex gamemode. We intended on adding quests and we even has typed down a lot of quests to help the player learn, but never got around to it due to server dying
Just interested if this could go for anything.
