Rule 1.8.2 Change.

Some guy brought this up on my RafeTech company post, and he does make a good point.
We should change this up a bit, to fluctuate for thread designs?
Because new members might think that they can't do it, even though many users are.

Thread designs are a main aspect of business on a forum like this, it is how you express your company.

Maybe change it to :
"1.8.2 Do not post content where the majority of what is posted is an inappropriate or non-correlated image to what the topic is about."

Yeah i see what you mean by this. It could be confusing to a new user. Nice idea!

Instead, remove 1.8.2 entirely. It's redundant (ironic, given the following rule), especially with this current general rule:

1.8 Do not post content which is extremely low in quality, irrelevant, redundant, unnecessary, or meaningless. (e.g: “Looks nice, GLWS”, “Vouch, bought an {item}”)

This rule covers pictures. 1.8.2 is an extension of that and is unnecessary, while not being enforced either.

Thank you for the tag. When I got falsely warned for affilaite link advertising I was looking through other rules and noticed that some rules are very porely policed. Changing the rule to that and maybe adding some more rules about image relevancy would be good!

Since the time this suggestion was made, we also noticed the problem with the rule being unenforceable with its current wording.

We changed the rule to now be:
" 1.8.2 Do not post content whose only purpose is to bump a thread."
