Recently, I've seen an influx of threads popping up, regarding CS:GO gambling, and other gambling related sites and services.
I believe that a rule should exist disallowing the sale of such items. This is because currently Valve is taking action, and shutting down sites they find hosting these services. http://kotaku.com/valve-issues-cease-and-desist-letter-to-23-counter-stri-1783975845
Why? Because of a court order. Valve is actually being held responsible for their items being gambled, and are required to shut down these activities.

The market is no longer stable, and it is definately illegal. We need to discourage this before it becomes a mess for us.
Gambling itself is illegal all around the world, for many individuals; especially to minors and those under the age of 21. It would make sense for us to disallow the sale of such activities to our userbase, which is mostly comprised of children.

Those who want to discuss it, or involve themselves in those activities ought to be able to. However, the sale of these sites and services shouldn't be allowed on MCMarket.

P.S. Thanks Justis for remaking the thread :)

We're not LF, hackforums, or any other type of site that is host to the cesspool that is the black market.
I'd prefer we stay away from these shady activities as much as possible, and stand out as more of a creative forum, with people producing unique and ethical products.

Maybe not make a new rule specifically for gambling, but make clear that it falls under a pre-existing rule:
5.7 Do not sell any electronic books or other media that encourages “black-hat”, money-making, or any activities that may be considered objectionable on MC-Market. Staff members may moderate any such items

Gambling items, being that which we would consider objectionable on MCMarket.

I concur with the black market aspect. I don't want to wind up dealing with people who are unscrupulous individuals. I agree.

As justis already said, we technically have the right to remove anything that involves making money illegally. We've chosen breaking ToS from sites, games and software to be mostly excluded from that, but illegal gambling, selling DDoS services and the likes is definitely not allowed. Any such items and services will be removed.
