Hello fellow members,

First of all, happy new year! I hope all of you are enjoying your New Year's Day. How fast time does fly.

With a brand new year come a brand new set of rules. We took the current rules and completely rewrote them from scratch to give them a more clear and concise meaning. We feel that these new rules will make it very clear as to what is allowed and what is not allowed and we feel that these new rules will be best for the community.

However, we want to hear your feedback on the new rules. These rules are in no way set in stone and we are happy to consider the feedback of the members. What do you think about these new rules? Is there something that we should change and if so, why?

The rules wiki page has been updated and you can read the new rules there at http://www.mc-market.org/wiki/rules/. After you've read the new rules, feel free to come back here and post your honest opinions and tell us what you think. We will review and consider all of your feedback and make changes over the next few days based on your feedback.

If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to leave them here on this thread or send a private message to either Ajdin or myself and we will gladly address your concerns.

That's all for now.

WTF!
Well I love the new rules, litterally every single one except two,
1. The Resource bumping should be allowed, because with gfx or stuff like that, you cant really update it, since it is already made... so instead I would say that you should only allow an update every 2-5 days..?
2. Arguing in shoutbox is kind of fun, and I believe that is one of te functions of the shoutbox, to relay your mesage faster than in a thread, which would moos likely help you in an arugment.
It's a little spammy. There are discussion threads for resources. Those can be bumped, but resources cannot. The purposes of resource "updates" isn't to bump your resource.

At this time, let's keep it to OG and Special accounts. We haven't made any decisions regarding regular accounts yet. Apologizes for not adding that in the rules specifically.
Most people still sell $2-$3 accounts with crappy names and call them "Semi OG"...

How does the warning system work now?

Previously it was defined that if you accrued a certain amount of warnings you'd be banned for a week, then a month, then three months, then permanently, based on how many warning points you had accrued. I don't see anything like that defined in the rules now, but I see people still being banned automatically by the warning system.

I think if there's an automatic ban system in place people need to know both their warnings and how many points they need to be banned.

I'd love to see how many warning points each offense is worth, as I feel some should be higher than others. For example, LQ-posting may be 1 while thread-trashing may be 5.

What happened to the rule regarding asking for vouch copies in forums when none are explicitly offered?
Is there a reason for it's removal?
It seemed like a pretty important rule to me.
I actually wish it would have been enforced more.

EDIT: Make sure there remains no rules against minimodding. I need my fun. <3

The discipline plan is still being prepared and we should have something released about it in the next few days. If you have any suggestions, feel free to post them in the Suggestions forum.

That was under the "low-quality posting" rule, which we removed and replaced with a meaningless content rule. We could classify asking for vouch copies as meaningless content if they are not provided.

The two things I don't like about shoutbox rules is that the first one is: Do not argue, I know what you mean is a toxic shit talk basically is what you you don't want but it is quite misleading to just general arguing as in a simple civilised disagreement isn't allowed. The second one I don't like is that people are allowed to post links to threads every 5 mins, please make it 30 mins or 1h or all we are gonna end up seeing in shoutbox is gonna be spam to thread links..

Some good additions, but it'll be the same as ever. Rules will only be enforced when and where it's convenient to do so.

I don't think thats a necessary rule as many new members don't know about vouch copies or simply forget to include them. Usually the maximum amount of people that ask for vouch copies is about 2, so it really dowsnt affect anything.

We are currently discussing more specific guidelines regarding advertising in the shoutbox. These should be added today or tomorrow.

We're working on a discipline plan that all of our staff members will be expected to follow and will be released to the public so that you guys will know exactly what will be enforced and how it will be enforced. This should be out in the next couple of days.

Add to the rules the ban of excessive tagging of other users.
Nobody wants to be spammed with notifications every two seconds.

And since contacting staff via shoutbox is against the rules https://gyazo.com/54bde3b2d276e03f937ecd9cf3a45787
Tagging them should result in a quadruple ban. ;) Deleted User 6506
Added a rule regarding tagging.
Do not abuse the tagging feature. Abuse of the tagging feature includes, but is not limited to, excessively tagging a user.

Thank you for your feedback. The rule was added due to popular demand a little while back. I would suggest making a suggestion thread in our Suggestions forum to see what the community thinks.

Is it just me, or did you include nothing regarding scamming in the new set of rules?
I don't think theres much to be added.. You scam, you get banned.
