Recently, a business account that Corey B, myself, and our team use (ClusterWorks LLC) for our service provider was warned twice.
One time we were warned was by tjrgg - he reminded us that there were certain account boundaries for business accounts. Two users of this forum reported that account as it was not disclosing that it was Corey behind the account. It in fact did disclose this information but the two users who reported did not see that message on the shoutbox.
This led me to think... Do we remember when the shoutbox was a fun place? Recently I've noticed how inactive it is at times - and how there are way more arguments than discussions...
Also, I'm thinking (and so was Corey) that the staff enforce these new rules way too much. I think that they should calm down with the rules enforcing. I know rules need to be enforced but not this much. The shoutbox has turned into a desolate wasteland, people are leaving MCM for no reason other than new rules put in place (excluding the account crisis) and there is an increase in the amount of toxicity that is occurring between staff and users.
I think that what the staff team is supposed to do is make the community happier. I think they are doing the exact opposite right now. They are making these changes, expecting a positive outcome, and they get the opposite.
I believe that the staff team works hard - I know they deserve their positions - but they are trying to enforce the wrong things.
