Your panel is quite un-user friendly. Why not go with a conventional GUI? You're not even using SSL, it takes too long to type out each letter, and it's difficult to even start typing.. The concept can be appreciated, but the execution definitely needs more work before being production ready.

We are not geared towards users who do not have experience with a terminal or are not willing to learn server administration. We state this on the home page of our console. We do this in order to reduce overhead and to not gather in users who use support as a crux and/or dependency instead of helping themselves with the many tutorials on the net. Including, in the future, our own.

This is a hosting service that prides itself on high-performance, cost-efficient, secure, and efficient hosting without cost or performance affecting overhead.

This service is geared towards server administrators. As such, so is the website. If you are willing to learn, we are willing to teach.

That being said, we plan to have an API for any user wishing to make an interface of their own or integrate it into an existing console they install such as WebAPI for Sponge.

You're not even using SSL
At this moment in time, only the primary site is using SSL, you are correct. We are troubleshooting an issue with our provider Cloudflare and our internal application that is running an express server. This issue has been going on >1 day and is expected to be resolved within the next 24 hours.[DOUBLEPOST=1538880015][/DOUBLEPOST]Hello,

We have fixed the issue regarding the SSL not being implemented correctly on console.mcserverhosting.net. Thank you for your patience.

Additionally, signups using Twitter have been added to our authentication services.

Thank you.

Cool idea for the panel/console, but execution is a bit lacking. As a developer accustomed to managing things through a console, I can say that using your site was just painful.

I'd recommend fixing/changing the following:
  • Get rid of the "typing" effect, it may seem cool for smaller chunks of text, but it's downright annoying to wait 10 seconds before I can see the last plan on the page.
  • You don't have auto-scroll. On the plans page, the text extends beyond the bottom of my screen.
  • I have to click within a few centimeters of the "usr@mcser" prompt before I can begin typing, whereas normally I can click anywhere on the screen.
  • Why is every "command" a different page? Seems a bit clunky that I cannot see command history and my browser needs to keep reloading. It might be better if you used something such as AJAX to fetch the output of each command individually.
tl;dr the console has a nice aesthetic, but it really mimics nothing similar of a real command prompt. It seems to be more for show rather than any type of extended functionality.

Thank you for your feedback. I have been working on the back-end more than I have the front at this time. There were plans to make it in AMP, which is why it was set to use each page, but you're right in the fact that it should be more terminal like. Once I have the rest of the command setup, I plan to use that as the API and have the terminal just use web-sockets and/or get requests moving forward. Look forward to updates by the end of next week :)

Not bashing or anything, but you should get an actual website made instead of using mobrise

Nice catch!
AMP is a very interesting framework that we have been trying to study and integrate for our next site update. We also like it because its focus is on speed without a lot of overhead (which we are all about). We are working to tie it into our automated deployment system. However, given its limit in dynamics and our lack of knowledge on a feature known as amp-bind, we were left with using a static site generator. Far better than WordPress or other CMSs, but still lacking. Look forward to our site updates in the near future :)

(PS, the console is not made using Mobrise. Just the front page banner.)

We are happy to inform everyone that, after taking in user feedback into account, we have successfully upgraded our console. The following new features are now in effect.

UI/UX Improvements:
  • Removed "Typing Effect"
  • Autoscroll when running a command
  • Autofocus on console based on a window click
  • All commands are now on the same page
  • Simplified plan structure (All plans are now on C3 servers that use i7-7700Ks, NVMe, and 2400 DDR4 RAM)
System Improvements:
  • Automated DNS entries/subdomain generation via CloudFlare for near-instant Propagation
  • Less than 20-second deployment times with Node v10 & CentOS integration
  • Less than 60-second mail delivery notice via mailgun.org
We hope you enjoy these new features. Please look forward to future updates regarding improvements to our site and console.

New server orders have been temporarily restricted to existing customers while we rollout new backend software. We thank everyone for their continued patience and cooperation. This restriction is expected to last no longer than 24 hours.

Edit:
Extended maintenance notice.
We apologize for the delay. We are still working with our existing customers and internal assets. We thank you for your continued patience. The updated ETA is now no later than Sunday, February 10th 2019.
