Hi,

First off, let me establish myself:

I am a trailer creator here on MC-Market. I have made hundreds upon hundreds of dollars making trailers. I know what I'm doing, how to do it well, and how to do it fast. I've been making trailers for about two years now. I know all of the programs I use very well. I know how to do just about any special effect, or at least ones that clients ask for frequently. I know how to deal with multiple clients, deadlines, and everything else that comes with making trailers.

Now that I've let you all know who I am, here are some of the things I made recently:

That is only a small snippet of my portfolio. As you can (hopefully) tell by the trailers above, I know how to make simple and clean-looking trailers with no lag, no stutters, clean velocity, clean text animations, and all of the above. A side note, I can do better than all three.

What I'm offering for users today is how to create trailers THE RIGHT WAY. I've never actually seen a user offer something like this, probably because the creating of good trailers is highly coveted. I'm offering it to people because I see an obvious need for it.

Here are some benefits of making trailers:

1. It's fun.
  • It really is fun, something about cinematography for people and capturing an image, making it come to life, just something about it brings joy.
2. It makes money.
  • It's a very steady source of income, and it generally creates a good amount. Yes, there are a lot of trailer creators and cinematographers on MCM, but very few actually good ones.
3. It teaches basic business skills.
  • Dealing with clients and making deadlines is all part of the job. This does and WILL help with future experiences in life.
I'm teaching people how to make trailers. Good ones. This includes all programs, CCs, Velocity Settings, All different types of settings (shake, vignette, ParticleWorld, RSMB, CC Force, whatever you can really think of). A full tutorial of after effects, and how to make trailers using it. A full tutorial of what shaders to use, settings for those shaders, different mods and which way to set points, etc. Which forums to post on, how to get your first few orders, EVERYTHING!

If you want to purchase a full tutorial on minecraft cinematography, make lots of money, have fun, and learn valuable life skills, add me on discord: nitro#9035
This full course is entirely based upon budget. The more you want to know, the more you pay. Generally, though, I keep things VERY affordable where people can 100% make their money back from the courses within a month.

This course includes full support with any future questions. If asked (and willing to pay extra) I'll send you some of my own project files for you to mess around with and take some ideas from.

High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

Reserved. If anyone is wondering why I'm doing this, I no longer have time to make trailers. I'm going to college. However, I obviously still have time to teach people how to make them and support them with any questions, all of that.

My preferred method of contact is discord: nitro#9035

Also, another disclaimer, if you don't like my trailers or my current style of trailers, I know multiple styles. I can probably teach you what you want to know. Please do NOT contact me asking how to make a different cinematographer's trailer. Thanks!

I expect to get a lot of hate on this thread just because of the concept of teaching trailers not EVERYONE will like. I get that, I understand. However, this is a money-making method. Once again, it's safe money and gives you something to do instead of play video games (at least, that was my case haha).

Thanks <3

While I do agree with OP that there are a lot of elements you need to learn for making good trailers most people (including new trailer creators) don't take into consideration, I also agree with many of the replies saying that creating basic/decent trailers (similar to those low budget servers often look for) can be done by most people who know the basics of editing and has a somewhat good taste. Getting help for starting out may be good for beginners, but the real secret to making good trailers is practise. You won't become perfect just from a course. Also, many trailer creators happily give out free tips for beginners.

Some of the things mentioned are quite easy to figure out yourself. While I do not make many server trailers nowadays, I can still give some tips:

* Marketing: Just post a thread on mcm, up it once a day and quickly reply to threads requesting the service. Do not spam a copy-pasted message. Also make sure your thread looks good. A thread design helps here (can be made by yourself). Sometimes service teams work aswell, but these generally got a bad reputation in the community.

* Treating customers: Act professionally. Remeber that people (in most cases) rather deal with someone friendly who seems to know their stuff than someone just casually talking. I also recommend offering free edits for 7 days or more. Furthermore, I'd also recommend you to get all info you need from the customer before you start working.

* Deadlines: Just complete the trailers before the deadline. Simple.

* Pricing: Look at your competition, how do they price things? Check their quality and compare to yours. Does your style stand out from the crowd? That means you can charge extra. Though, remember to be compatative with the pricing.

* Other tips: Always make your stuff in 1080p or higher. Also remeber that they may be watched on phones etc. Try to avoid having too much useless stuff in the trailer. Make sure you can read the text. White text + black shadow is a simple way to achieve this quickly. Dare to experiment.

I have more, but my phone battery is almost dead. If anyone wants, I will happily answer questions in PMs. Though, I will leave help about the actual recording and editing (most important parts, and also the one with the most tricks people tend to forget) to the creator of the tread. Again, this post is not meant to hate on the service OP is offering. It is probably a good way to start your journey, if you have little or no experience.

Last thing: if you want to make trailers, find your own style. Don't do it like everyone else. The competition is hard these days. Through my years making trailers, this is the most important thing I've learnt.

Listen, while you can make incredibly nice stuff, why should people pick you instead of the big boys in the community with tons of video editing knowledge?

Because they aren't offering to teach people... doesn't take a genius to work that out. And you guys should really stop trashing TV 's thread, he is offering a service to the community which can benefit many and not be interesting to others, just because you are the second option doesn't mean everyone is like you.
Dude not trashing, trying to understand what makes him stand out from the rest, I can easily learn from other people, you also can if you pay them, I'm just being curious, you should stop assuming we're trashing him.
He didn't show what he's capable of teaching on the thread, whether it's CC, time remapping, working on angles and etc, he didn't say if it was expert or a complete beginner level.
Just because one is criticizing another doesn't mean one is trashing another, it's non of your business I'm just curious as a video editor myself, your post was unnecessary and he could answer it himself.

When I said a 'full-course' I meant just that - it teaches how to make a full trailer.

Can y'all stop fucking trashing this persons thread, and take it to the DM's instead? - Honestly.

Simply because they aren't offering to teach anyone.

I mean, some people do teach, like Usagi, but you can't expect it to be cheap, also there are exceptions like Woodzy, he teaches a friend for example, but idk your prices, you also said you're giving them a full course, so, GLWS I guess
