Hello,

Recently I have reviewed a few of these Scam Reports. At times, we hold Members that are inactive on our Forums and with that being said - Getting in touch with them is rather frustrating.

An idea that popped in my mind was if a Member does not respond within 24 hours of the initial tag towards them, an email is sent to their account registry notifying them of an open Scam Report which they would have to respond towards.

This may be kept fair for everyone, especially those who don't hold a Skype Account and may gradually hold an increase in timing for responses to solve cases.

Let me know what you guys think. I didn't find any negatives in attempting to get their attention off-site.

Scam reports should be resolved as soon as possible.
An email isn't all that inconveniencing, and scam reports are important and (hopefully) rare.

I see no reason why we should not consider simply sending it out to the users right away.
If they're active on the site and didn't need the notification, no harm done.
However, it could potentially get a lot of users online and answering the scam report 24 hours sooner than they would have otherwise.

yeah, same might be the case for me, but maybe not for the majority of people here, so this would still work.

And it's not like you're likely to get your inbox spammed by notifications from scam reports. At the very least it should force through one to notify you that there is a scam report open on you. its not needed to force one through for every separate post, but maybe it should send a reminder every 24H or 48H that you still have one open?

I like the idea, it seems like a far more professional way of contacting users. The only problem I have with this is what multiple users above have already stated. If an email linked with McM is not a users primary email, it's really no better than our current system. This hits home with me especially because I keep my McM account email separate from my other account emails in the case I get doxed/hacked. I honestly wouldn't check the email unless I honestly had too.

I don't see this helping really, as many people (as shown above) don't use emails. However, this would be handy if people did use emails.

Accepted. I'll send you a message through Slack M6Gaming, but there is already an inbuilt system in xenforo where you can send an email to the user from [email protected] or whatever.

Thanks for the suggestion.
