I think that there should be a scam report section on your profile so that others can easily see your past scam history. Some table with like(reporter, report link, brief description, report status). This would possibly reduce scams in a sense that people would be more aware of certain users.

I see some concern in many different areas, so let me clarify. If you are falsely accused, M6Gaming can give that report for your history a special tag called "falsely accused" or something of that nature.

Or we can keep the current scammer system and ban the scammers?
I never said anything about removing the current system. Did you even take the time to read my post?

Disagreeing because again, people make false reports and people won't want to deal with you if you've had a ton of scam reports in the past.

But if a user gets banned, whats the point in getting this on their profile. Are you dumb?
Well you can't access their profile anyway, so what does it matter. Many of times, the scam reports could be closed. Plus it is easier to see each scam report and the status of them.

Fair enough, but there could be another status to protect users against that such as, "falsely accused".

"This user has 5 scam reports on them, better not trust them".
All of them created by salty kids who did something wrong in using the thing that they bought.

If someone is found guilty, they're banned. If they're not found guilty, they're very likely innocent and I see no reason to damage their reputation actively like this.
If someone REALLY wants to be careful they can view the scam report archive, but this is definitely not something that should be added.

and no, a "falsely accused" tag won't help. From a long period of experience on here I've learned that people look FAR more at numbers than they look at the content those numbers represent.
What do you think people count as more reputable? Someone with 4 reputation who are all overwhelmingly positive for major things?
Or someone with 35 reputation that is all for something relatively trivial and is sorta meh?
Yeah, the latter is counted as more reputable by the general public on here. Because the numbers are important, right?

All of these reports are practically public information. It would just be easier to find out if this system were to be implemented.

Yes, they are public information. And if someone goes to the tab and sees 10 reports actually listed there, their first impression will be "dude, this guy is shady", even if all of them are trivial, false or otherwise irrelevant. Most people won't look very far beyond that.
Listing stuff like this simply isn't a good idea on a site where users already manage to slander each other over the most trivial things.[DOUBLEPOST=1482284040][/DOUBLEPOST]All in all, this serves really no purpose. The only thing its even supposed to achieve is 'make it easier to find scam reports on a user".
Those scam reports are NOT relevant if the user is still active, because they were closed. If they weren't, the user would be banned.

Ivain summed this up very well.

Denied, thanks for the suggestion.
