Scam Report Staff Reform

Hello MC-Market fellow members.

I have had the privilege of being a member of the MCM community for well over a year now, and I have seen many new things happen to the website. In 2015, Scam Report Staff was introduced to the community as a way to complete Scam Reports in a timely manner.

Now, first and foremost, I believe that this is a very good option for us as a community, however, our current staff is not up to the way that I think it should be.

I don't tend to post a lot in the Scam Report Section, but I have kept in eye on the section for users that I should not deal with. Recently, I ran into a problem while working on a commission and I posted this Scam Report:

Both M6 and Morgan are new to the Scam Report staff, and to be honest, I had never heard of either of them.

After I had posted my Scam Report, I waited for it to be looked at and accepted by one of the staff members. Every single time I checked, I noticed that the View count was going up, even though the public could not look at it. Why was the staff just looking at my thread without taking any action?

Morgan was eventually put in charge of the thread (By M6) and took forever to respond. I took to the Shoutbox to voice my opinion, and Morgan replied almost immediately, saying "I get to Scam Reports in my own time, and I am very busy."

Please Note:

Every single time I come on MCM, Morgan and M6 are online. Both of them are not attending correctly to their assigned positions. I will say that M6 is far better than Morgan and I wish he was in charge of my report.

The reason I am writing today is because I wish for change to occur within the Scam Report section. The staff needs to have a little urgency with their positions. I hate seeing Morgan online multiple times today, and has still not responded to my thread and accepted any responses. How can I deal with the accused bashing me on Skype when I can't even work it out on MCM when the thread isn't being correctly monitored.

Morgan (More than M6) needs to step it up or step down.

At the very least, please get more staff members for the Scam Report section. The Scam Report section is by far one of the most important sections on this forum. Let treat it that way.

For reference here's the actual comment I made in response to you saying "Morgan is the worst staff member MCM has ever seen, holy shit... do your fucking job for once":

"I've been rather busy the past couple of days Chris. I read Scam Reports in my own time, and I'll get to them eventually."

I've had a lot of stuff on my plate at the minute between work, college, and of course MCM.

I'd also like to mention that since being promoted, I have dealt with and closed 72 scam reports. In my opinion, that's a hell of a lot more than anyone else has done in the past within the same timeframe.

Finally, the reason as to why I'm online a lot is probably because I either leave my PC on during the day while I'm running server scripts or because I join the shoutbox on my phone. And unfortunately it's not very practical to check scam reports on a 5-inch screen.

If anyone wants a good laugh, then I'll leave this here:

I agree a bit with Chris And morgan. Morgan is very fast in scam reports but sometimes you need to wait longer. But you need Some patience. There are mostly 2-3 pages of scam reports And staff has a normal life to. but it is no problem to take on extra staff.[DOUBLEPOST=1452667856,1452667814][/DOUBLEPOST]But I see this as staff disrespect.

I think it's a lot of work and they do the best that they can in the time that they have.

BeBosny has said this won't be an issue with changes coming in the future. The section will probably be abolished, from my understanding of it. I think it'd be unnecessary to bring on more staff with that in mind.

In the end, it's your own fault for getting scammed in the first place. This site really has no responsibility for that. You're taking your frustrations out on them when you should be taking them out on the person who scammed you, or on yourself for being silly enough to fall for a scam.

I agree with James. Morgan is rushing in the Sam reports and Handles to fast. If Somebody says that He told you something he didn't the scam report will be Closed(mine)

See the thing I would like to point out is I was not the one that got scammed in this situation. I was just making a report for a friend of mine.

Oh, and I suggest you block that user.
ok so, were all those reports yours? And second, I get that you have a life outside of MCM, and believe me, we all do. I go to college, just like you. I deal with the stress of it just like you, but I find a way to be there for my clients and for the people that need me because I have figured out how to manage my time. If you have to use the excuse that you are too busy for the job, you shouldn't have taken it in the first place.

I mean, even if its technically against the rules, which it isn't, I'd still tag them to make sure they see this, since this is quite an important thread.

Honestly, they are doing a MUCH better job than the previous scam reports staff, who didn't even respond within 24 hours...

This is all caused by the lack of scam reports staff, there are probably like 3 pages and only 2 people that read over them. You guys honestly need to hire more scam reports staff.

There's little over 1 page, which is a considerable difference than when we started. Since then we had over 5 pages.
