Scam reports

I’m almost positive everyone in here thinks scam reports are hectic, and simply just takes WAY to long. I understand calling someone a “Scammer” and banning him needs a lot of thorough proof in order to do such punishment. I feel it’s really hard to get to a conclusion if just the replies take a long time, even days. Sad to see we lost one of the scam resolvers Lotus and it’s quite obvious Capaldi has done quite a good job though still slow but a lot faster than before. I have a few suggestions here.

Let the Accused and the “Victim” be allowed to reply to the thread without the need of a Scam Resolver to allow it. Simply just the need of Outsiders whom need a moderator to allow the message.

Bring Scam reports in DMS: allow dms to be made with the accused or the victim with a scam resolver and a few moderators if needed. Just to speed up the replying process and coming to a conclusion quicker.

ALLOW CERTAIN MODERATORS to accept and REPLY to Scam reports in case the actual scam resolvers have a long response time.

Last Suggestion: GET MORE SCAM RESOLVERS. It wouldn’t hurt having staff having multiples jobs correlating to the suggestion above, or simply more Eclipses and more Krams.

I just want to mention... I got 5 warning points + following suspension for 3-5 days because I exposed someone for lying. The report was called "Disturbing the peace" and followers under harassment. The server owner literally sold his server and sold backdoors to it, a year later and 2 more servers have been made for profit. As soon as I logged on, I was banned for "fat whore, bye"

There needs to be changed on this platform. And it needs to happen fast, people keep saying this site is dogshit and it's going to die. But a lot of you guys make money off this site and you want it to be alive hence making more money for yourself. We as a community need to let Mick know that these are occurring problems and we need to stand up for a site we somewhat love and make a change.

+1 Definitely add more/efficient scam resolvers... it shouldn't take a year or even 6 months to resolve a scam

There are many more ways to make a report quicker.

For example, restricting the person instantly to only view the scam report on them.


I believe that we need scam reporters who have more time. Reports only get responded to every couple of days.

This is so dumb. So if somebody makes a scam report, even if completely false you cant use the site until a week later when its cleared up

That rule would be especially dumb if your scam report lasts for a year

I agree that scam reports need to do go faster, and it is something I am working on in terms of my own scam resolving. I'm trying to put some more time into scam reports as well as trying to get them closed sooner than I have done in the past.

For your DM suggestion, the majority of the time there is nothing stopping the users from doing that. If they want to resolve it between themselves, they would have already tried in my opinion.

I'm not sure if your suggestion of having only the person the report is on and the creator see the unapproved posts is possible but other than that I can't think of anything I really have against that. If it is possible I don't really see why not.

Instead of having moderators approving posts of scam reports it is just better to get more scam resolvers, making moderators approve posts too just creates confusion on staff responsibilities.

Getting more scam resolvers, or at the very least 1 more is something I really do want to happen, and looking for potential scam resolvers is something we do. But, since scam resolvers are one of the higher staff roles, it takes time for a staff member to make their way to it because they need experience with other parts of the forum before getting to the role. I am very much against the idea of getting scam resolvers immediately from the community.

If the 1st suggestion is something that is possible, that makes the next 2 not really needed.

You can surely find very active people by having a look in the shoutbox for like a week, staff is barely there

Its Red, Me, Maddy Demeng, doodle, FoundYourFlow, @DuesDaddyYes @CaleanaS are the only I’ve seen super active why not hire of them?

yep, honestly sometimes its random. I didn't know a couple of staff members till they give me the punishments... They aren't on a lot.

truth is, mcm is dead and like nobody cares anymore so everyone is just exit scamming and there are so many reports, following that fact that mcm is dead and nobody wants to or there are no people to hire as staff.
