This is similar to something HF use. Basically, whenever a user has a scam report open a notification will appear above the thread, noting how much they've scammed. This will be helpful to stop scammers in the act.

Do you mean when they're currently going through a scam report? Instead of how much they've already scammed?

Yes, currently going through a scam report, showing what they possibly scammed.

Then this is similar to my previous suggestion a few weeks ago about tag's for players that are undergoing a report. Having this tag would tarnish the player's reputation even if we have no proof (if the report is still undergoing) that the player is a scammer or not. (basically quoting many disagreeers on my thread.) http://www.mc-market.org/threads/88823/

Here's a problem I see with this. What if someone opens up a false scam report? An "Undergoing Report" tag (or something similar) would just be cause for suspension, no? So, by putting up a tag, we (being MC-Market) are tarnishing that user's reputation when we don't even know what the outcome of the report will be. For all we know, the report could be completely bogus, but yet, we put a tag on their profile and tarnish their reputation just because they have a report.

Some kind of review system for users is needed, but I'm not sure this is. I can already see some people getting upset by it. If you're going to deal with a user, do your homework. Ask around, search for their information here on MC-Market, etc. Do your homework, like a good buyer or seller should do. :)
I completely agree with.

Honestly, all the resources you have. Spend the 10 minutes, use the search bar - And conduct your own research on whom you'll be dealing with. Just because there's a Scam Report on someone - Doesn't mean they're a Scammer.
There are many cases where both misunderstand each other and it results in a whole Report being created, I feel as this "Potential Scammer" tag is simply unnecessary and will not be accurate 100% all the time.

Implementing this is saying, a man being accused for attempted murder has a bright light bulb on top of his head indicating he's most likely to do it again. But we don't do that, we keep tabs on Members - We check what they do, but this whole "Let's pin him out" from everyone else is just wrong.
Innocent until proven Guilty is how we roll.

Innocent until proven guilty. As vhckxgpzVK states above this could potentially tarnish reputation and lead to services/sales to decline. Plus it's get annoying if a lot of scam reports were opened.

As much as I agree with how you should just use the search bar, there are several users who do not.

Well that's their own fault. Laziness isn't a valid reason to make change.

And how is that our fault?

You choose to take the steps to conduct your deals, we simply enforce and handle issues resulting from them.

Never said it was. Just saying it could prevent scams.

Let face it. There are kids on the forums who are lazy to research previous scam reports of the user. Is it really bad to have that status? Also, maybe instead of ongoing scam reports maybe previous scam reports that are closed.
For Example:
Closed: Cooltime2 Scam Report. Reason: Revert the report back to the op and the op get ban.
It isnt hard to put a reason down for the previous scam report. Anyways It just my thoughts. Yes I know this may affect users reputation but if there is a reasoning next to the closed scam report then they can still be able to do a deal with them.

Tell me, if you're about to do a deal with a user and they get the tag "potential scammer" are you going to deal with them still? I'd be bloody hesitant. And it's all too easy for people to open scam reports for total bullshit reasons. It's already happening right now, and this 'tag' would give people an additional reason to open BS scam reports on people they dont like

It isn't ongoing tag. Did you fully understand that statement I posted? This is what it means. Previous reports get listed on the user profile and the reasons for the report. It isn't easy to open up scam report for unnecessary reasons. The report get moderated first before the report opens to the public. M6 will always make sure that there isn't troll scam reports.

I keep seeing all sorts of scam reports that should never have been made though. M6 allows those that seem reasonable at first glance, but many of those turn out to be nonsensical. Such as the reports where the person submitting it is upset because the other guy didn't respond inside an hour (not even in the middle of a deal), and is therefore scamming.

I just do not see the necessity of listing people's scam reports. If they get found guilty in a scam report they're banned. if they're not found guilty then they're not guilty, or close enough.
