Scammer Protection

Basically, this site has a lot of scammers and there is little to prove my it, this idea would help. Basically it seems when there is a scammer, they get temp banned then come back and they still have ratings which is not a good way to show them really. So my idea is that if a user is temp banned for scamming, or rate boosting for that matter, all of their ratings that they have received should be deleted. This way it would be a while until they would try something again or they won't at all. That way if they try hard to get their ratings back up, it is worth giving them a second chance. Thank you

You basically just copied my idea of resetting ratings but gave some more different reasons..? You could of just commented this on my thread

You had a tag which is 100% not needed and would just cause targeted picking on users.

Ratings isn't rep so who cares.

True, though for new users, that is a common confusion and they associate ratings with rep.

It would also create awareness of this user's actions for people who don't know of what happened.

Yeah but the majority of the community interprets it as rep. E.g they say they give vouch copies to people with 100+ ratings.

That's not anyone elses other than their own fault.

If they are new, they would not know though, this would help with that

If a user is banned for scamming, they are never coming back so there ratings do not matter. If they abuse the rating system, they are never allowed to rate again which I think is a fair enough punishment (as ratings don't technically mean anything)

There have been a few scammers that have come back and banned multiple times so that is not entirely true

If scammers have came back that means that they were banned unfairly and did not ban.

There was one guy forget his name but he had a Shrek picture, who scammed multiple users and was banned for it and came back, and was banned again.
