{ Scams }
Okay, you've been scammed on MCM for some item, server, etc. You're freaking out because you just lost money. You should probably contact Doge to chargeback first, but you need to be more careful in the future. This is the guide on how not to get scammed.
In this guide, I'm going to cover different types of scams and how to possible avoid them.

Minecraft Account Scams
Okay, the first scam you're going to wanna look out for is the most basic. The "I have a crazy OG account or cape and I'll sell it to you for MEGA cheap" scam. A lot of these members come to MC-M with names like "CheapMineconCapes," "LowPricedOGs," or something dumb like that. AVOID these at all costs, they are always fake.
The second scam you wanna look out for is the "TID Takeback scam." This is a hard scam to prevent, just because the user could always be lying if they say they don't have the TID. The main way to protect against this is to pay PayPal BUSINESS. Always pay with business, never family & friends.
The last scam I'm going to cover is the "Fake OG" scam. Look at this, I have the account "G0D," WANNA GIVE ME $500 FOR IT? Always check the characters in a really OG name to make sure the name isn't filled with 0s or Ls or Is, etc.

Minecraft Build Scams
These are also hard to prevent against. Mostly, the scammers will try to sell you a publicly available and free build. The only way to counter this is to do research before you buy builds. Google it, search PMC, etc.

General Minecraft Scams (servers, setups, development)
Your rule of thumb here, if they look fishy, they are. Anything that's "crazy cheap" and sounds too good to be true, probably is. Only go to users with lots of vouches from legit members if you don't have the money to risk being scammed.

Steam Scams
The user wants to offer you PayPal money for your skin. ALWAYS and I repeat, ALWAYS, make the buyer go first. You CANNOT get a skin back, you CAN get money back.
The user asks for a middleman to help you guys trade and even offers to let you pick a friend. He asks you to send you skin to your friend so he can see you are trading, then asks your friend to send it back. By this time, the user has copied your profile picture and name and will send a request to your friend. MAKE SURE YOUR FRIEND ALWAYS VERIFIES IT IS YOU BEFORE YOU TRADE.
Always check with someone who knows the actual market prices before trading. Battle-Scarred skins sometimes are very rare and you wouldn't want to sell a $500 knife for $60.
The last thing, have 2-step verification on. You will be thankful you have this.

Ebooks
If the Ebook is not checked out and approved by a staff member, IT IS A SCAM. IT IS ALWAYS A SCAM, SO DO NOT DEAL WITH USER.

If you're dealing on MC-M and the deal goes to Skype, always get verification on a post like "Hey it's {name} on your profile!."
Last tips, always enable 2-step verification when you can, use middlemen YOU trust, never pay PayPal Family & friends, and ALWAYS do a background check on the buyer/seller.
