No offense, but why the hell would you ask for help about GRADES, from a block game forum?
This section is off-topic for a reason. He's asking the community for some help with something far more important than minecraft, what's the big deal here?

Study tips:

  • Dedication
  • Get rid of distractions when studying (such as video games)
  • Get plenty of sleep
  • Water (drinking water can help you focus)

Quit this site.
That's actually a great suggestion.

There are some intellectuals on this site. nara~kavi would be my prime example.[DOUBLEPOST=1475400637][/DOUBLEPOST]
Get off the game and this site and study for your shit!
Again, this is probably the best advice I can give. I played MC all freshman year and got a terrible mix of A's and B's. I say terrible because freshman year was easy af and I feel like I wasted that easy year getting B's when it could have been straight A's if I'd just not lived in MC.

Algebra was a bitch though
True. Most people will tell you Algebra 1 is easy, but for people taking it it isn't. The 3 most difficult math classes I've taken are 6th grade math, Algerba 1, and Precal (Basically Trig 1). Note that 7th grade math, Algerba 2, and even Calculus 1 were easy classes. The reason the first 3 were hard is because they introduced a mass of content I hadn't seen before. The key to succeeding was to just do my damn homework. When I came to a question I didn't understand, I'd stare at it until it made sense. Checking the answer key to ensure you're correct also helps.[DOUBLEPOST=1475403974][/DOUBLEPOST]
wyd if your GPA is that low
Well, Since he pays on a football team
Ok, now y'all are just judging based on stereotypes.

Let me tell you something. The most difficult (arguably) class at our school is AP Physics C. It's basic calculus-based physics in mechanics, electricity, and magnetism. I was gonna take this class, but pussied out at the last minute cause it was scary af. One of the smartest kids in this class just happens to be on the varsity football team. And even beyond him, the class isn't filled with a bunch of Asian/Indian nerds. There's a crap load of athletes, and a ton of ethnic diversity. Heck, this one white girl who would often need to stay after school for tutorials last year in AP Physics 1 (algebra based; much easier) is even taking C.

So my point is, please do not judge people based on outdated stereotypes. They tend to be inaccurate almost as often as they are accurate.[DOUBLEPOST=1475404361][/DOUBLEPOST]
Maybe you're just simply not intelligent enough…
Maybe you're just flat out retarded.
Not being "smart enough" is a stupid excuse that, in my opinion, shouldn't be used. I say this because people often use it as false reasoning to justify to themselves why they're being unable to do something. And it tends to be so wrong. I believe in genes, and I believe in genetic influence in intelligence. But at a very slight degree. There's very little difference between all us humans… we all really do share the same mind/brain. Thus, natural intelligence should be the last thing one considers when questioning why he's being unable to do something. Like, only consider this possibility if you're doing something at a philosophical (PHD) level, because it is a belief of mine that not everyone can understand philosophy (probably because it's straight-up wrong a ton of the time).[DOUBLEPOST=1475404444][/DOUBLEPOST]Anyway, my little rant is over. PM me if you need help with Algebra 1 or anything else. TrentS
