School Work

Hi MC-Market,

So, I'm in a big year. It's not really hard just you need to put effort in. I am a HUGE procrastinator. It's hard for me to complete all my assignments on time. I just feel there are other things I'd rather do. I want to get better grades I just need something to make me want to do it. It honestly bores me to death which makes me not want to do it. How should I motivate myself to do it? When I get home I'm tired and end up falling asleep or playing minecraft. I feel as if I just got done all my work at school and there is a separate time for homework other than right after school. I go to a private school and they are really strict on assignments and I just can't do them. I have no motivation at all. Anyone help?

I personally go to Dunkin Donuts buy a large latte with caramel and whole milk and get started with that as well as not having any electronics on. After, you get any paper homework done feel free to take a break go on mcm and then start your other assignments and scroll through once in a while so you don't get bored.

Of course, some people are going to say throw an ice bucket on top of your head watch

Why not just go to the teachers after-school public school teachers love working with students after class private should too.

I'm in private school, they'd make me pay and schedule after school. Honestly want to freely do my homework but want to complete it. It would be tutoring basically. That's my school for you.

Just remember, if you don't get it done you won't go far in life. If you keep that in the back of your mind, it may help. Also, have an incentive (If you complete your homework treat your to something).

Okay okay I'll be serious, Try to think about the good things that can happen if you have good grades and just like as much as you don't want to do it Once you're doing it (especially on the computer) It's not that bad.

Personally, since I get distracted easily, I like to go to the library. It's usually really quiet and if I face towards a wall, nothing is distracting to me. I like to listen to some calming music too as well as get a coffee to have something to drink. It's the best way for me to keep focused. If I need a mental break, I get up and either go to the bathroom or walk around.

That would work if I had a library near me, the closest is around three miles from my school, honestly not far but I walk to school cause it's so close.

Assess your choices. See what this private school will do for you, and if that is worth it. If not, see what your alternatives are, and if they would be worse or not.
Also, try to gamify making the assignments. Split them up into little pieces, and each time you complete one you get a small reward. worked for me.
For an essay, that would be introduction, 2 paragraphs of the body, another 2 paragraphs etc etc, Conclusion, and whatever other elements you might need. For sums or similar questions, try a small reward per full question/section.

Thanks, I'm in eighth grade. The first quarter really gets you into high school (I know, I know it's eighth grade however I was held back two years. My birthday is September 16th and missed the cutoff, secondly had a hard time starting school so they held me back again) I miss my old friends but its what it is. I'm almost failing conduct (due to not tucking in my shirt) and failing science cause they give me tests the second I get back from being absent without notice. Other students get 1-2 days but I guess it's different for me?

Hmm, I usually wait till after dinner. I can relate, but usually I will listen to like lofi (usually this one )
Usually, I'll stay after school to do homework as on my school laptop, there's no way I could play games on it. I recommend if you do intend on doing this, pack a snack and a drink, too! If there is no after-school bus, then I really don't know.
