I noticed this some days ago, but didn't think too much of it until someone else said that the search was buggy.

I wanted to find Justis' thread about the image proxy to link to someone who was having trouble with linking images and I went to the search bar and typed "Justis R" in the "Posted by Member". I don't remember what it did because it is working now.

I tried to view someone's posts by clicking on their name and clicking their post count and it's taken me to this screen:

Another thing is that I tried to view a disabled member's profile and it said "Error" as if the member was banned, but they are not.

MCM’s conversation and post search functions need to load the content its searching for into memory prior to the search. This has resulted in memory allocation errors for conversations for a while now, and it’s starting to happen to posts as well.
This is something that we’re looking to fix with our new system admin as soon as we finish moving servers and setting up the image proxy, speaking of which.

As for the “Error” you’re seeing. It is a privacy setting.
The disable function doubles as a replacement for “Delete my account” function, which MC-Market doesn’t offer out of interest of protecting the rest of the community from those who would wish to come back under a separate identity.
However, we feel that it is still everyone’s right to disappear if they want to. Thus, disabling your account will remove it from public view and google searches, once google re-crawls our site.

If they want to use our site again, they’ll have to re-enable after a cool-down, and doing so will make their profile public again.

This has never been an issue before until it was added for users to be able to disable their own account. Is this a new feature when disabling an account?

There was actually a bug with one of our previous addons which would not allow us to privatize any profiles other than banned users, even disabled ones. That’s been fixed along with the addon which allows users to disable their own accounts, enabling us to offer our users the privacy that an alternative to “Delete your account” should provide.
