Job Title: Let'sMOD Discord Creative Community Manager (Part-Time)

About Us:
Let's MOD introduce MOD as the next generation of content. But what is a MOD? A MOD is a playable game that can be shared and watched just like a TikTok video. MODs are user-created, engaging, and most importantly, fun! Let's MOD plan to introduce MODai, an intelligent AI technology that allows creators to bring their stories to life in their MODs by the end of January 2024. This is an exciting step for us, and we are looking for an amazing community manager to aid us in building a community around creating the next generation of content.

Job Description:
As a Community Manager, you will be at the forefront of this transformative journey, nurturing and guiding our Discord community with the current focus on creators. Your role involves tapping into creative communities like Minecraft, Roblox, or alike, and engaging university students globally. You'll be instrumental in leading a community that is not just about creating content, but also about shaping a new form of interactive and shareable media with Generative AI.

Background:
  • Here is the current Le’tsMOD community on Let'sMOD Discord: Let'sMOD. The current community has been quiet for the past couple of years. The plan is to revamp this community right after the Le’tsMOD release with MODai.
  • View Our MOD Creation Video showcasing the exciting world of MOD creation. This is not the final version, as we are working to include the next version before the end of Jan.
  • See the Stanford AI and Creativity Program starting this year based on Let’MOD.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Build a diverse and dynamic community that attracts Minecraft enthusiasts and university students from around the world.
  • Drive the growth and management of our Discord community to reach and surpass the milestone of creating 1,000 new MODs in a month, with a goal of expanding the community pass 5,000 members in three months.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal teams and leverage resources provided by Stanford University and other partners like Common Sense Machine.
  • Although Let’sMOD addresses a global market, it is critical the candidate has access to the US communities to build at least 20% of the community from the the N. America.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in leading and growing online communities, particularly in engaging creative groups of 1,000+ members like the Minecraft communities on Discord.
  • Have experience in building communities with members including university students.
  • A visionary leader who is passionate about pioneering new forms of digital expression through MODs.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate and inspire a community.
  • Self-driven, capable of working independently in a remote environment.
  • Committed to dedicating the necessary time and effort to achieve ambitious project goals.
Compensation:
  • This is a paid part-time position. The compensation, depending on your proposed plan and deliverables, and level of experience, will be an hourly between $10 and $35.
  • This role offers more than monetary rewards; it’s a unique opportunity to lead a groundbreaking creative community at the forefront of Generative AI in collaboration with Stanford and leading Gen-AI companies.

In the interview, the candidate should present a detailed plan during their interview, showcasing their strategy for community build-up and growth and achieving the targeted milestones.
