AppolixMC is an upcoming network, intended to release with Survival as our first gamemode. We're searching for dedicated, knowledgeable co-owners to help run our network smoothly.
What makes Survival unique?
Here's some features we have on Survival at the moment:
- Player stat and level up system. Increase attributes such as Force, Health, Defense, Intelligence, etc. through leveling up and various other methods.
- Multiple items, some with unique abilities (teleport forward, launch fireballs, gain buffs, etc.) and every single item has unique stats (for weapons, this is usually base damage, and then additional force and boosts to your critical hit chance/damage, applied while holding the weapon. For armor this is usually defense, health, force, and/or intelligence.)
- Interactive Auction, Shop System, and Spawner System, creating an economy heavily focused on mob drops (ender pearls, rotten flesh, etc.) and ores (diamond, emerald, etc.)
- Multiple custom mobs. A few we've made so far include the Ravaged Enderman, Power Zombie, Withered Apprentice, and and Royal Skeleton Servant
- Actual interactive, fun gameplay that feels like a traditional video game, instead of mindless grinding for hundreds, if not thousands of hours, or obscenly unbalanced Pay-To-Win advantages.
The main update we're working on as of right now is the temples update. Throughout the world are 10 unique Dungeons, that can only be conquered solo. You must go through them, killing dangerous mobs, solving puzzles, and finding items to eventually find your way to, and kill, the boss of the dungeon. These dungeons function similar to the main mechanics of a Legend of Zelda game.
So if you were hired, we would most likely have you begin work on coding the dungeons. Bosses, puzzles, mobs, etc.
What are the requirements for becoming a Co-Owner?
In order to apply, please meet the following requirements:
- Aged 16 or older
- Access to a working microphone
- At least a year of experience with Java
- At least 8 months of experience with coding in the Spigot API
- A strong knowledge of Mongo/Redis/MySQL, and how to use dependencies/injection
- You have past code snippets/samples and can share them
- Able to write clean, efficient, mostly lag-free code.
Your payment will be a 30-35% cut of server profits, as will mine. Remaining money is held aside solely for the upgrading of the server itself, or purchase of software/services that would benefit the server.
