OK guys. I'm a recent school-leaver from the UK and I am 16 years of age.

So where do I start? Seriously, I don't know how to. - By the title I'm seeking job advice, I want a part time job and I'm obviously not getting one here. I've been applying for two months (however I stopped a bit due to sleeping troubles) and recently got back into it. Out of anything, I want a job, getting my own money and have the right to spend it. Obviously I know it's not as easy as that, but at the end I'll have my own money and experience which is a win-win.

Anyway, to be more specific on the thread, since this place is a market there is a lot of people with jobs. I want to get into customer service or IT as I am going into level 2 IT next month in college. I've been applying however to mainly customer service jobs as I want to be more active socially (and also to spread out my abilities).

OK, so now a bit more information is out of the way, I'm wondering if you guys can recommend me methods/tips of having say a higher chance of getting hired? Or just some beginner tips for getting a job would be good.

I appreciate it guys and hope you guys have a sweet depressing day!

Hello Vignre_,

I honestly would suggest what [WRONG NAME] has done by giving free help for vouch copies get known, getting known will then in the future make you able to sell your service(s). By helping people out with computer issues since you are wanting to get into IT I would highly suggest this... MC-Market is a very nice place to start get a portfolio and when you move into real world job you will have a portfolio to show and some vouch copies ;).

Kind Regards // TheLightDev \\

Hope this helped you!

Why are you asking this on a block game market forum.. anyways. :p Look at jobs possibilities online, there are a lot and you don't need to be anyway at certain times. I would look at job sites that show openings in your area if you need a physical job (like this). Maybe try and ask a hosting company if they are open for paid hire.

Hello bro!

Thanks for the quote and notification, and also the recommendation from TechBanana, but I mean a legitimate job that is not on the market. I appreciate the suggestion however :p

- Also, I don't think showing a portfolio of a MC-Market place where some of it was illegal (in most cases, scammers).

Hey Loli :p

I'm asking on a block game because as it so happens, a lot of them have jobs, or have money in general and it would be a good place to get advice. Would be an ideal place to ask in my opinion.

Unfortunately (I forgot to add) - the website you showed me is based in the US which is (again unfortunate) for me to use, especially as I live in the UK. However, like you said, there are many sites and I have already signed up and applied to companies.

I also totally forgot to add that into the original post! So thanks for the reminder ;)

No problem, but at the same time it is the same thing in real life you will need to get a portfolio work around your town or in your community and help people out and let them write you up a vouch which will help a lot.

Indeed true :p - I may do so! But I just think it would be better licensing with a company as an employee rather than a marketplace.

Timer expired for my OP!

Just wanted to point out that I'm looking for a physical job, not like a fast food worker or anything. As mentioned, I want to work in customer service or IT.

- Already one step ahead and have been signed up on jobseeker websites for a few months and have applied to many! I'm just stressed and obviously nervous about getting a job because I have a low self-esteem and low confidence.

To apply for a job, you'll need a few things. A bunch of set parameters that you absolutely do not want, a well-made CV that can be tailored to specific jobs, and a pretty good idea of what you do want.

Now, next up you go search up some sites for your country that offer jobs in your area. Apply for any that seem halfway reasonable. Make sure to customize your CV for each one.

Next, see if there's any job agencies in your area. Apply with them as well.

Check, check and check! On my to-do list. Thanks bro :)

Appreciate the link a bunch. I've actually used this before but couldn't remember the website. So I appreciate the suggestion... Seriously. Appreciate.

That's a lot for me Legend.

You should be proud

:p

But yep! Thanks so much for it bro <3

Also, is it more or less like a job centre-network? I mean it seems to be just a list of every job out there even with their job-sites on what they're hosted on. Soooooo....

well i'd call it a job centre network. as some of the jobs might redirect you to say reed.co.uk, plus the job centre (if your in uk you know what it is) use that site.
Ah okay, would be entirely helpful. Thanks a lot buddy :)
