No, that's laziness and useless. It would also contribute nothing. Disable your account if you want to leave, it'll be for a longer duration that 6-24 hours though.

There is absolutely zero point to having it here, there are applications for your entire computer that will block certain things for you and there is even a Chrome Extension for the iOS app "Self Control" (https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/self-control/ncaaipdfhdijmfdfmeoagmogddhkfdec?hl=en).

Staff aren't able to respond to stuff quick enough for a 6 hour ban time frame. It's just not feasible for them to try to keep up with selfbanning people in addition to other responsibilities.

If you'd like to leave MC-Market for an extended period of time it is possible to disable your account through your user menu, but disabling your account lasts for a minimum of 7 days. If you'd like to leave MCM for a period any shorter than 7 days, roy's suggestion seems to be the best course of action.
