Hello Administration team of mc-market.org, I saw that people must report threads to moderators in order for their threads to be closed, why not let the users the ability to close their own threads?
Would seriously improve the forums (in my opinion), and It would also lighten the work for moderators as I am sure they have other things to do other than close threads.

High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

This is something every forums should have :p I can imagine someone figuring out a way to abuse it but I imagine sorting that out would be alot less effort than what is currently put into locking threads at peoples request.

I can't think of a scenario when a lock button for thread ops can be abused.

Yes this could be useful but if people are refusing to get help or accept an answer then they could just lock the thread and get no support.
Then that is their own fault? I don't see a way a player who is able to lock their own threads can make it work in his/hers benefit, in a malicious way.

Not possible with XenForo, unless I'm missing something.
Guess I'll take your word for it, I am not web developer so I have no idea how it's setup.
But I feel as it should be possible, considering you can change everything on a website.

A addon could solve it, honestly this is probably the most useful thing ever and worth using a little time on.

I'm going to decline this, you don't need to lock your thread - just click thread tools and mark it as complete and if it continues to get replies then report it and ask for it locking/trashing.
