Pricing
  • $5 an Hour
  • Cheaper if bought in bulk
  • Can always be negotiated lower
How it Works
  • I currently own 35 domains. (I bought 7 more recently).
  • What I will do is link all 35 domains to your server for the amount of time paid. These 35 Domains Include, but are not limited to, Daegonner.net, OriginMC.net, CosmicMC.net, PhanaticMC.net, BrutalFactions.net.
  • This gets you players because all the players who want to join Daegonner.com, OriginMC.org, CosmicMC.com, PhanaticMC.com, BrutalFactions.us, will actually join your server when they mis-type the domain. (I also have a 2nd Method, where I hook it up to my Whitelisted Server, and when people try to join it says "Join Our New Server: {Insert IP Here}". <- That way people will still be able to connect after its over).
  • It usually gets around a player every 1-2 minutes. So about 30-60 players an hour. (Obviously Certain times will be higher than others, it can even go above 100 an hour).

Looks like too much work and ineffective because people just copy the domain from the server list website and then paste it into their server list so there wouldn't be any typos.

It actually is quite effective, just watch your player count after you buy. You will see quite a few players joining, since there are many people who dont find servers off of server lists. (Server lists arent the only way to find servers).

I could take a vouch copy of an hour if you wanted :)
I might be pretty interested in this.
IF it does what you say, it could be very beneficial.

Cityseis is right. It could be usefull for him since he owns the domains but it can't really be of any good to someone renting them.

Yes... it can, because I have a server setup that when you join, it will tell players to join the "New Server - [InsertIP]", so they wont be using these domains anymore, as they will use the "New Servers" domains.

Well if this was efficient wouldn't your server have more players then this.

A couple things you should know.
1. I just started the advertising on my own server, as a different server was using my advertising before. (I started using this about 2 days ago)
2. All the advertising I have ever done on my server is through this method.
3. Look at the stats... last weekend I had around 35 players on all day. http://minecraft-mp.com/server/62640/stats/
4. So using just this advertising for one weekend I had 35 players, pretty good right?[DOUBLEPOST=1420484097,1420482728][/DOUBLEPOST]Also, you really shouldn't judge something without ever trying it, nobody has actually tried it yet, so nobody will know how well it works. Thats why I am giving 2 Vouch Copies (Already sold).

So if you're essentially conning them to join your server, won't the players leave as soon as they realize that this is not the server they were looking for?

None of you understand the minecraft community, they most likely won't leave, the minecraft community is filled with kids who have no clue what a domain barely is, they will stick wherever it sends them without a second look.

With them joining, I will have a whitelisted server up (or you can have it link directly to your server), that when they join it kicks them out saying "Join Our New Server At: {IP}". This way, they think "Oh, I guess they changed their name, Ill join their new one!" :)

So you concede that they ARE looking for their server, and that you are trying to con them? Would you lie to a player if they asked you? I mean, it does seem like a possibility to earn some players, but how moral is it?
