Hi, I am Shaun also known as Shottzyy.
I am here today to introduce you to my Factions server; Purge Paradise. I will go in-depth on why I think being a staff member in my community could lead to bigger roles and/or a positive experience for you.
Our recent server trailer:
Where to begin?
So, I started off playing Minecraft with one of my old friends around 2014, we played a crap ton of Factions and it was possibly the most fun ive ever had on games to-date.
My first ever server was created back in 2015 named FactionVille and was not anything special, we had bugs everywhere, a lot of immature staff and honestly I wasn't mature enough myself at that point. But it did lay out the foundations for what I wanted to acomplish with my server in the future and where I wanted it to head.
2017 rolls around and I just got kicked out of college (because I was ill and could not attend), I go back to the only job I knew I could easily get, working at a store stocking shelves, during this time I save up enough money to start development on my server again but on a larger scale, more professional, bigger playerbase and overall more seemless.
The first few maps were rocky and didnt bring too much of a player base (around 30 - 40 on releases) but it slowly picked up and I stuck with it fixing every issue I could and spending hundreds of hours trying to perfect it.
Only recently has it really started to pick up more, maybe the last 3-4 months or so, we went from having small releases of about 40 to having a 100 player release on the next reset, this was stressful as I did not think this would happen and was not prepared for it, although I tried my best to keep everyone happy and tried recruiting more staff along the way.
The next reset was a lot smoother and brang in around 120+ players on release, still I knew I could do better and carried on trying to make it a better and better experience for my players.
This recent reset (opened 23rd June) we hit our all time high of 165+ players online at once, which looking at the growth rate it is going really good. Now averaging 50-100 players per day and its only going to go up from here on out. I am still spending a large amount of time looking into new ideas and trying to make everything perfect and I know my server still has issues but as my playerbase may know I am determined to make this succeed and will continue to work my hardest to make it happen.
What is the moral of this story?
I am here today to look for mature and passive staff members for my server, unlike most server owners I spend a lot of time interacting with the community and try and implement as many suggestions as I get, I think that my server has a good community and would be a great environment for people to hone their skills to the next level and get some more experience in staff situations.
