Server budget recommendation

How much budget would I need to invest in advertising in order to get a 100 player+ faction server release week? I was hoping around 200? is it more or less Thanks. Im assuming more but hoping less lol.
Also Is this dedicated server enough to handle a 100+ player release
i7-6700K 16GB RAM 120GB SSD

Still, if you're releasing a basic factions server with no features don't be so hopeful. Develop some cool plugins never seen before, and I mean never. Don't just put "Optimized Cannoning" and "Optimized KB" in the trailer.

Yeah we do have custom plugins and some things servers have never done before as far as im aware. You seem to have experience with servers any Idea on my second question of the thread

I have around 2,500 into my server and that isn't even advertising yet so that gives you some in sight my trailers were $1,100 which is an animated trailer so if you are looking to have good branding I recommend putting the money into trailers

Yes, it is also good to keep your contacts close so that others don't take your connections and use them to their advantage.

You serious? Do you know how much an animated trailer costs? That is by far worth it.

Hey I know some really good animators that could make you an awesome trailer for around $200-300.

For a 100+ player base release there's many ways to get players. It takes time to do it especially to limit out of pocket costs.
1) Give out power factions rewards
2) Give out invite rewards like a low tier key
3) Discord giveaways at milestones
4) Server trailer upload rewards
5) Get some low teir YouTubers who are willing to live stream on release
etc....
There's a lot of ways to get players, but you need to right approach.
Hence why many servers have community managers

If by an "100 player release" you mean 100 unique joins, that's definitely possible with some small youtubers and live streams on release. Live streams on release will get players on the server at the time but you need to ensure you retain those players after the stream finishes. Cash rewards for top factions are seeming all the more common, so you may have to do that if you want to stand out from other faction servers.

Getting 100 on at once on your release day is pushing it; without a very big streamer or youtuber / renting of a sponsored slot on .org for example.

Obviously post on all the MC Server Lists and get your players to vote for rewards.

Have an eye catching trailer and/or banner for the server lists. Be unique and make your server stand out.
