Hello,

So i am currently in the progress of saving up $500 to start up a custom mini-game and a build.

So with $250 gone. What should i do with the extra? (Don't get all 'Omg $500 LOL your server is gonna SUCK!!1!' on me). I just want clear and understandable comments from people who have been put into a budget so small and have been very successful.

To be honest you don't need to have a huge budget for success.
From my point of view, when I opened my server I paid nothing but the server fee and had a constant 50-100 online but that's purely because I know many youtubers personally. Literally to gain a playerbase, advertise on the minecraft websites, have youtuber ranks etc and start from the bottom. Obviously your server isn't going to instantly have 300 people on. Just don't lose faith.
Thank you so much <3

For our old server, we didn't pay a penny for advertisement and managed to maintain a 120+ playerbase through youtube, starting from a youtuber with about 4K subs back then. It probably helped because he was one of the two owners, but also we were the first underground HCF server to even happen (so not including Shotbow, Kohi or HCT).

So from my experience, I've always found youtubers to be the most profitable, but ones that mainly do your server type and aren't known for selling videos.

You dont need a high budget for it! Simply plan out how much you have to spend on each aspect of your server, and play around with that for a while. I had $20, and made a factions server out of it that got $1.2k of donations and a 20+ playerbase online at one time.

Well since everyones saying you don't need a huge budget I guess I'll say it. You don't need huge budget to have a successful server. But in all seriousness just don't give up. When I first started Bronze I was always giving up but I got right back. Servers take time and dedication. Your not going to become Mineplex overnight. I mean sure money helps but it's not always necessary. My server is still no where near the player base I want it to be but I just keep trying. I guess I'm just trying to say is don't give up and just have faith in your self and your server.

But to answer your question about what you should do with the remaining money I'd say you should just save it. Because once you get enough money you can do exactly what you want with your server and get it 100% how you want it. I would do that my self but my servers open already.

Adding onto everyone above. My first ever server I actually got the money from one of those apps where you earn money. I then Started it with $4 and suddenly I got donations left and right. Your main goal is to make it unique. If it is a ordinary server, no one will come on it and stay. Just keep advertising and dont give up or else you will not be successful. GL
Thank you so much.

That is the thing with me. I give up. It is really hard with school and others. I really need to set my mind of focus of school and my server. Thank you.
