Server custom terrain

Hey guys,

Im looking to make custom terrain for my factions server and Im looking for the best free option for a 12k x 12k world. Ive never really dont this before so I was wondering how easy it is, what i have to do and if anyone can help me?

From what I know if you want it to be good you don't just try it out and your a pro at it. You should just hire someone to crate it for you.

Ive been messing around with TerrainControl and actually created some pretty smart stuff

Look into world painter, world machine and voxel sniper if you want to create an extremely detailed custom map by yourself.

ye world machine and world painter are really the tools you should be looking at. Allows for really realistic terrain without loosing the control of where your mountains and other features are. I myself work alot with worldmachine and can asure you it takes quite a bit of time too learn the basics. If you are looking to make your server anytime soon I think you would be better off by buying a terrain from someone.
