So im looking for a dedicated server and i came across ovh,

Processor :
Intel Xeon E3-1230v6 - 4c/ 8t - 3.5GHz/ 3.9GHz
Memory :
32GB DDR4 ECC 2133MHz

these are the stats of it etc and was wondering if anyone is able to tell me if this is good for a server

What's the server for? Those specs don't mean anything if we have no idea what the use case for it is.

single server and idk esmitated but in discord we have 500 people so i could esimate to aroun 200 maybe

Those would be good specs, however I'd recommend buying shared hosting instead from somewhere like Crident or HeavyNode as it's only a single server.

i tested on beta before and had 150 players and server was kinda laggy

Not all hosts have the same quality as those like Crident and HN. The majority of hosting providers oversell, not giving you the power and resources that you think you're purchasing.

im looking at heavynode but will i be able to setup whatever ip i want or will i have to fnd a place to buy a ip?

LOL , guys still using xeons on servers and curios why they have still 18 tps because minecraft server need high speed core like i9 etc...

An i9 is completely unnecessary for a single Minecraft server. They're mainly for hosts that are providing customers with high core counts on their servers.

i9s are for resource-intensive workloads like heavily modded servers or those with multiple hundreds if not thousands of players, not a 200-player Skyblock server.
