Server Error Question

Ok so I am running a prison server and I just recently bought a mine and it was in a schematic file. So i put it into my schematics folder and loaded it up. I have just done //paste and my server lags for 10 seconds and it gives me the basic Java (blah blah blah) Io- Exception and when I go into my server console. It says to go to SpigotMC to make a error analysis thread. Is this just my server being retarded or is there actually an error?

It basically slowly pastes/does intensive w/e operations over time as to not overload your minecraft server. (Async World Edit does).

Just install it on your server and try again.

How many ticks should I do? The longer the better right?

If it's a large schematic, it's limiting your RAM and you're running out of memory. Common problem. As said up there, AWE should fix the problem.

How many ticks should AWE be set at? It still crashed and it was like at 600Kblocks placed per second

This was a big pain to me aswell, I just ended up using mcedit and then using the world file it created, just an idea!

How do I use McEdit on a server? I don't even know how to use McEdit
