Server Idea(s)

Hello, everyone! I'm currently in the process of making an original prison server. I'm coming here today to just ask for a bit of opinion/suggestions that could make this server a bit more interesting for the player(s) once we do open! Some of the key aspects our server has to offer right now are:

- Gangs
- Plots & Cells
- Black markets (For players to sell & buy items off one another)
- Token Shop (To buy special items, such as mine bombs, and commissary passes)

Please keep in mind that this is a classic (NON-OP) server that we're making, so any suggestions that are regarding "Fortune 100 pickaxes, etc" wouldn't even be considered.

If you do give a little input, please add a small description on why it should be added; so we can get the true idea you're aiming for!

Well, I didn't expect people to be childish when someone asks for suggestions? It's not that I'm not creative. I'm just trying to get more feedback on what other(s) like. I mean, if you didn't like my post, you didn't have to reply? It clearly didn't spark an interest to you anyway.

I think in order to be a 'successful' server owner, you have to listen to the community, hence why I'm seeking suggestions. But hey, thank you for the message!

People these days just aren't creative anymore, and its sad to see.

Were not ur community, ur playerbase is . I also think in order to be a ‘successful’ server owner you have to be creative and unique and think of ideas yourself . No one is being childish, it’s just that no one will spoonfeed you ideas to be a ‘successful’ server owner

While you are mostly correct, a lot of servers take player ideas etc, he's asking us to p much do *everything* for him which is wrong imo

Ye defo agree, should've stated it better. He should ask the community of his server. Not the MC-M community.

Well nothing wrong with acting us for help, but not a single thing he has is unique, he should get some unique ideas for himself then ask us

I don't think Im_Shanndon should have got so much stick for asking for some opinions I also don't see why people posted on this thread, if they had no useful contribution to the thread

Well; I'm not about to disclose every feature on my server, but if you're curious on the unique features that I have personally came up with then I'll list a few. Just so people can quit bitching over a forum post that I made intending for decent feed back. I forgot this 2020, and everyone loves to protest.

Anyhow onto my list

I mentioned that it's a prison server (NON-OP) so the ranks go from D, C, B, A, Elite, Free, Citizen, Tycoon.
I have had a custom plugin made for Citizen & Tycoon to where the Tycoon ranked players can create a business, and players in the citizen rank can buy their stocks etc. - Since Citizen + Tycoon ranked users ranked out of the prison.

I've also added commissary passes - that allow users to go and sell their items for more, but it's only open on certain days.

I didn't make this post because I didn't have "Ideas" I simply made it because I was trying to get feed back from what I thought was a minecraft community. Obviously I was wrong. As for all the people who are selling configuration work, you kinda screwed yourself because if you would of had some decent input, I would of bought it from you to configure for me. It's not like I'm stealing ideas if I'm asking for feedback? If I was trying to steal ideas, I'd just go to a prison server, and look around?

I'm trying to be unique, and would like it if the community would share some input. Especially the ones who like to play prison servers.

Gosh, some of the people on this thread are truly an embarrassment. As a server owner myself, the circulation of ideas is an essential to keeping content fresh and interesting for the community. If you don't have any ideas to share or would like to keep them to yourself, don't trash the thread with irrelevant comments.
