Hello,
My name is Stephen & I'm 17 years of age, I'm a very dedicated person when it comes to tasks & I always thrive to do them right & good.
Below is my resume & my experience and also a little bit about myself.
About me
I am a 17 year old from Ireland / United Kingdom and I’ve had many staff experiences on a variety of servers. I started my staffing career a little over 4 years ago, outside of Minecraft I find myself to be very involved in activities like going to the gym, going out with friends, I mainly find myself on the internet a lot more recently due to the ongoing pandemic.
Previous Experience
Cold Network - Senior Moderator & Screenshare Verified - Clearnetwork was the starting ground of staffing, I had played Cold Network prior to becoming staff and I learnt a lot from here, I passed a good amount of my knowledge that I had gathered from there to new staff members. My time at Cold taught me to be determined & to know how to work as a team and so much more.
Minemen Club - Host - At MMC, I was held responsible to host events on UHC and practice. I was entitled to use commands to ping the whole server, yet I abused no commands. I resigned from this position as work slowly took over my life, and had to take a break.
ViperMC - Trial Moderator & Screenshare Verified - Not really much to say about Viper. It was a very good server, don’t get me wrong, but it did lack certain things in areas, such as professionalism and training for SS Verified. I did very much enjoy working here for only a short period of time, but it was fun while it lasted.
SilentPvP - Senior Admin & Screenshare Manager - SilentPvP was most likely the best server I had ever worked on. I am glad they accepted me as Trial Mod. Here, I learnt a lot about determination and what it was like working my way up the chain of staff. Here, I taught myself how to Screenshare, how to find hidden clients, "undetectable clickers" and even illegal mod that was only a few kilobytes off of the original mod. Once the original SS Manager left his position, I was elected as the SS Manager, in charge of training and testing all members on the team, showing them what they did right, and what they needed to improve on. Ultimately, one of the best networks I had ever worked on.
yaymc - Staff Manager - As you may know, yaymc is notorious for scamming and going EULA Compliant, which wasn't a very good idea for their reputation. However, if we put that aside, yaymc was a well-rounded and put together server that served and held a very lovely community that was well shaped by the hierarchy of the server. Overall, I would say that if it weren't for scamming, yaymc would've become a decent server.
LingLand - Platform-Admin - LingLand is a smaller, yet well setup server that accommodated around 50-100 players per day, with an overall player total of 11,000 members. The current owner is a famous Instagram meme page with over 600k but was sadly deleted in the Instagram Meme Page Purge, permanently deleting over 40 meme pages. I also learnt here, how to treat and deal with members, along with respecting higher and lower staff.
HCRealms/Esile - Moderator & Screenshare Verified - At HCRealms, I helped monitor and inspect the server, to watch for anyone breaking the rules or abusing their permissions. HCRealms merged with Esile quite early on, surpassing 300 people on SOTW and EOTW. The server was a massive success with a positive income for the server.
uPots - Senior.Mod & Screenshare Manager - uPots was a toxic server at the time. Many people came on in spite of the network. I had to control and push back the trash talkers from the server. I had to closely monitor the servers, with a close eye to see if anyone was cheating, or trash talking another player on the server. Overall, uPots helped me to overcome my fear of many people trying to reach out to me at once. I was able to resolve their issues quickly, and how to do it to the best of my ability.
FaithfulMC - Helper & Screenshare Verified - FaithfulMC was the server I had the most fun working at, their community & management team is how I thrive for any servers I manage to be like, their staffing skills are phenomenal, I spent most of my team with the higher staff team so I learned a lot from them with donation support etc, as much as I wish I stayed at FaithfulMC longer my time was cut short due to me having to resign for personal reasons.
I do have more servers that I have been staff on, but believe that I benefited most at these servers. Please refer to the other document for more staff experiences.
Side Note: I have been either SS Manager or SS Verified on every server I have been on that had Screensharing in place.
Experience With Screensharing.
I could go on and on with my experience with SSing. But firstly, I would like to outline my best experiences with screen sharing. On SilentPvP, I was appointed SS Manager since the old one left, and was given this role after being voted countless times and then being picked by the owner. As SS Manager, I had the role to test and train the up and coming SS Verified. I was in charge of determining whether or not they were able to SS players on the server suspected of cheating. I also challenged myself and made a whole SS Guide for every staff member on the team. I had to pour out my knowledge I had gained from individual learning and from others at other networks into only one document. Many had gained lots of wisdom from that guide and still possess that to this day. If anything, I made a huge impact on their ability to SS and teach others.
Some aims and goals
Well, I would like to dedicate time to help the server with cheaters, trash talkers and possibly even development, if needed. With other servers, it tends to lean away from having fun and primarily focusing on staffing and staying professional. Although I do find at times I can be very professional and very determined, I would like to join a server that is willing to have some fun with players and other staff members. In no way shape or form will I jeopardise my position or anyone else with a silly joke or something similar. Ultimately, I think your network has a very clean and welcoming community that I believe I could see myself fitting into.
Other languages I am able to speak.
I am only able to speak English. and would personally say that I could speak and write very well since this is my one and only language, I am able to focus on it more.
Why should you choose me over someone else applying?
To be honest, I think I have a lot more experience than others have. I can share my knowledge with others, helping them improve on their skills. I would say that I am very determined and love what I do. I will stay loyal to the network, never portraying the team, or leaving them. I believe that I will be able to help and improve other staff members' skills by sharing my knowledge with them, so they will have my wisdom to pass onto others, this will improve efficiency and also improve their ability to do certain things, such as screen share. Overall, this is why I think I stand out from other applicants.
Other skills
I have a lot of skills, however, here are some; Communication - Every staff member should be able to communicate what is going on in different situations. This includes being able to calmly communicate when something is going in that you don't agree with. Communication is key in a team environment, especially when you are all working together to ensure that the server is thriving.
Dedication - Dedication is a huge thing that every member of every team needs. You don't want to hire someone that puts in half the work they could be just because they're not dedicated enough. An owner and manager should be able to rely on their team to work to their fullest potential to ensure that things are running smoothly. You should need to chase up your team because they'd rather be doing something else.
Decision Making - Making decisions is a key skill that everyone should have. If you make a decision you need to commit to it, instead of worrying about your entire life about whether or not it was the right one to make. This applies to staffing a Minecraft server just as much as it does to everything else in life. You can't have an indecisive staff member.
Problem Solving - This goes hand in hand with Decision making. I pride myself on my problem solving, as do most Software Developers. My entire career is based on problem-solving. If a staff member can't solve simple problems, then you have a problem on your hands. A lot of problems will pop up on the server that staff members need to deal with, and if a staff member can't do this, they really shouldn't be on the team.
Conflict resolution - This goes hand in hand with not holding a grudge. Conflict will happen on a faction server, both between two members of staff, or a member of staff and a community member. It's part of the game mode, it always has been and always will be. If a staff member can't put this behind them and resolve the conflict in a cool, calm and collected manner, it just shows their lack of maturity.
