Server Owners Please Answer! (Rookie Server Owner Looking for Help)

Hello,

I've decided to take a step further and try investing more into my regular factions server, I have around $400 saved up for advertising next month's new map and although I'd prefer to spend less I am willing to put in more if needed.

I'm quite lost on where to begin with advertising so I'd love to hear any advice. If you have time please answer this FORM I created.

My target is to have around 50 players on peak and 30 on regular hours, I'm also hoping to receive enough purchases to keep the server running and to break even (currently sitting at a $300 loss).

I've setup a server in under two days, released it hit 110 SOTW (HCF) and from this experience it was quite easy to reach high player base without paying for advertisement. What I did is asked some of my friends if they could upload a trailer, they did so then I contacted some media's (youtubers) about uploading the trailer for in return of partner, some agreed some didn't. I also posted on the trailer Reupload for three keys on release . You have to think about what the players want in return for advertising, there's no real reason to pay for advertisement. Think about what I would of done with money to use to pay for advertisement, but if you need an advertising manager I'm the guy to go to..

I suggest at least for advertisement if its an HCF server just pay someone in mc-market to make a good quality server trailer. Since I've seen a lot of HCF server hit 100-200 players on SOTW and a constant of 80-120 afterward with only 1 video.

It's regular Factions and not HCF unfortunately

Be careful dealing with this guy. I owned a Discord server called Tactical. And decided to give him owner to help me out a few months ago. Reached 500 members. We still wanted to keep Tactical running, so we made a new one that hit around 130 members. We decided to sell it, and use that money on our server (EvolvedHCF), the one he’s talking about. We sold it, I gave him the money, he bought the server and started working on it while I was sleeping. Then the next day, he came to me and complained I didn’t do shit, but I was sleeping so there wasn’t much I could do. I’m not that good with setting up and configuring servers so he did that, while I offered me to do everything else, such as writing intros on forums, doing discord etc. He acted like a little kid to me, and then decided to demote me. So I lost Tactical, that I worked really hard for. And basically got scammed $20, since this was something we were supposed to work on together. Okay, I was trying to think positive, atleast I have the new Tactical with 130 members. Well no, he got one of my admins to ban ALL members. So now I’m was left with absolutely nothing.

I’m sorry for the long post, I just want to let y’all know. I’m sorry for you take this as trashing your thread Sparko, I’m really just trying to inform everyone. Be careful dealing with this user.
