OK so I used to run a server a couple years ago now and it was relatively successful averaging around 20-50 players and I had a good playerbase and good staff then too.

Anyhow I recently stepped back in and I took over someones server, and made improvements and players enjoy the server however I am having the common issue that it seems I am lacking to find players. I know there are methods like advertising, youtubers etc. I also ask all my players to vote as much as possible and am on 9 lists atm. I keep my community close and ensure my staff are happy. I want to maximize how many players are on. I know that such a large issue with it all is how many servers there are however I have put blood sweat and tears into making this server good - and I want to know what to do next to begin building our player base.

I want to also get Buycraft Premium, a dedicated server (or 25565 port), an ip and a website but the main owner is reluctant to spending money on these things.

So tl;dr, how can I now begin to gain recognition and get more players on?

High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.
