Once OPed, you can login to your server and use /gamemode 1

If you would like more commands, I would recommend installing plugins.

After looking and comparing everything between multiple hosts, I have to say that serverminer.com is the best out of them due to many reasons. Firstly, you can get a free server for 14 days to test how good their servers are and I am impressed and especially the control panel; to be honest, it was like living in luxury. Secondly, you have a lot of features and you could customize pretty much everything. You also get fast replies from actual people and they answer any question you from at them about the server or if you have any problems. I decided to try out the free trial for ServerMiner for a private server that I currently run for me and my friends. I had to wait though to get the trial server, but it was well worth the wait because I got my control panel log in for SMpicnic and was very pleased at how the server was not laggy at all even with me and a bunch of my friends on at the same time and having multiple worlds and plugins on at the same time. I honestly would recommend serverminer to anyone looking for a server host.
