When a bid is made that's it, if you win you're committed to pay for the item. However you might come across something else you would like and not have the funds for both.

Therefor I suggest a time limit for retracting bids. For example 6 hours. That would be long enough to have second thoughts but not too long for it to be a problem retracting it. It would give users a little more freedom to change their minds, but not enough freedom to cause the seller problems.

It would also help to reduce the amount of scam reports people make about someone refusing to pay after winning a bid, because they purchased something else. Thinking they wont win the other one.

Bump, this didn't receive any input and I'd love some on this, still seems it would be relevant.

I'd say allow a day. Someone might want, say, an OG and then they place a bid on 5 they like. Then they're stuck with 5x$150 bids and can only afford one. They want the one from whoever replies first.

People take ages to reply sometimes, so I'd say allow a day after placing the bid.

Not really enough input from users on this, denied.

Thanks for the suggestion.
