Shaders help!

Hello! I am in need of some help, I was wondering how do I add optifine 1.8 to my shaders? I'm not using forge.

After you install Optifine it should be in video settings.

Uhh, please help! I installed everything and this happens:
It seems to open then, crashes right away.

All you have to do is install optifine and throw shader packs into the shaderpack folder. It shouldn't crash. I don't play Minecraft without shaders anymore and Optifine having shaders pre installed makes things 10 times easier.

I made a Shaderpacks folder, then I use version 1.8 Optifine, but then I start it up, go to settings and nothing is different.

Install forge version 11.14.4.1563 and try that.

I'd prefer not use Forge, but i'll give it a try.
