I highly recommend Ozark(if you enjoyed Narcos type shows) and Travelers. My two favorite shows in a long time.

hey, I need some shows to get into. doesn't really matter, I'm into comedy and drama (similar to stranger things or whatever)

if you got some good shows to recommend, lemme know

shows I've already seen:
  • stranger things
  • the office
  • family Guy
  • American Dad
  • the Cleveland show
  • brickleberry
  • a good amount of stand up specials
  • breaking bad (up to season 3, will finish it someday)
  • orange is the new black
  • narcos
  • big mouth
dont recommend me any superhero movies or shows.
Like how he says no superhero shit and people still recommend superhero stuff. Lol. Also I would suggest checking out Rick and Morty. Likely that you've seen it but 10/10 show.

Black mirror, basically alternative realities of the future with dark twists. I would skip the first episode as it isn't too good.

The 100 is definitely worth watching, and season 3, I think it was, came out a few months ago. Basically 100 people land on Earth and deal with the environment they land in. Slight but not really spoiler: they aren't alone.

Altered carbon is really enjoyable. The show goes a bit down hill when the protagonist's sister returns but it's still good at that point. I finished it in 2 days.

I honestly think you're missing out not watching the marvel/superhero shows since the arrow is actually really good. The iron fist is ok.

Ozark is alright. It keeps your attention grabbed enough to watch it.

Nikita, it's basically a hidden gem as I haven't seen anyone mention it in past threads like this. Basically they take people, fake their death, and train them to be black budget agents run under a currupt (accepts bribes, power hungry) director.

Better call saul. Its related to breaking bad, and it isn't that great but if you have nothing to watch you might as well. I don't think I finished it though so it might get better.

Quantico, basically enjoyable agent themed show like Nikita but with the FBI, and a bit of a mistery aspect as the protagonist is blamed for bombing a building and solves it while going through flashbacks of training.

Gypsy is decent. Might be a bit boring for some people.

Shooter (the series) is just amazing. Well worth watching about a sniper who needs to prove his innocence (I think at least, I haven't seen it for quite a while but I do remember it being good).

Master of none - a romantic comedy, need I say more?

Young and hungry - kind of a realistic comedy, it's worth watching.

House of cards. Unless you know some basic goverment, it isn't as enjoyable.

Sherlock - brilliant show. Episodes are a bit long but we'll worth the watch.

Limitless - another really good series, basically there's a drug that makes you really sharp with a nasty hangover while one person is ''immune" and It's aa bi complex to explain the rest without spoiling it.

Into the badlands, season 2 isn't on Netflix, cant really explain it well but its decent.

How to get away with murder, there are better shows listed above, but its an ok show.

If I had to only recommend 3 shows, it should be The 100, Shooter, and Limitless in that order.

thanks for the depth explanation, will check them out. ever since I've seen Batman v. Superman, it has literally ruined all superhero movies for me.

There's a 10 episode series named shooter, hence why I mentioned it being a series rather than the movie. Sandcastle, a movie is somewhat similar (not really, but it's decent) if you enjoy miltary movies.
