Been thinking too long about this, need some ideas. My teacher said there are no rules/guidelines to this project, given that it is school-appropriate, original content.
I can make literally anything. But that freedom is intimidating! I need an idea for a short film I can do. Keep in mind that there can be no CGI, cannot have a high budget (i'm not spending all my money on this), and preferably something that requires little help from others.
Any ideas?
I've always wanted to make a film with the background music Time (from Inception, score by Hans Zimmer). I would really like to use that music in my film (but it's not mandatory).
Drawing inspiration from both Memento and The Dark Knight, I'm interested in developing a beautiful yet cruel antagonist; the antagonist being either a person or something more sinister (time, reality, drugs, etc.).
Memento's storytelling procedure set in a neo-noir tone establishes a stressful but intriguing narrative. I'd like to do something original in terms of delivery that conveys tension and anxiety throughout, with the sweet release of satisfaction at the end.
Perhaps I'm being too ambitious with this project. But it's my chance to create something unique, interesting, and, most of all, something that has a fun production process.
