Hey McM, so I seem to be in need of a new main account. The question is though, should I spend money on an expensive account. After the lose of such much with Sloth, I honestly don't feel like taking the risk with a new account only for it to share a similar fate to Sloth. So the question here is, should I buy a new account? Is it even worth it?

IMO, at the end of the day its just a game. You can honestly save this money for something much more useful in the long term. But, if you are really dedicated to Minecraft and foresee playing for a long time to come, it can be good to buy a og account (which you could also sell in the future).
Best thing would be to snipe an OG on your own Giftcode, if you want a specific name maybe work with the owner of that account to change the name so you can snipe it on both snipers in exchange for the price of the account
Similar to what a lot of people have said, transfer the name onto a clean account. It's going to cost you about $50 more, but its worth it in my opinion, unless the account contains significant information to be able to take the account back if it is ever jacked. If you want to learn more about transfers, I assume you've been here long enough to know where to look.

No, he gave it back, he was pretty chill honestly. All was fine until I get an email at four in the morning from Mojang telling me they're locking the account.[DOUBLEPOST=1484671015][/DOUBLEPOST]I mean at the end of the day, finding a new OG name that's decent is harder than it once was, and getting the minecon capes I want or had back on it is even harder. I just don't want to waste more time and money into something only for it to be taken by Mojang for no reason.[DOUBLEPOST=1484671189][/DOUBLEPOST]I do have an account with a 2012 and a 2016, but there aren't that many decent names out to snipe so it makes it difficult. Plus I don't want to change the name on it too many times since people seem to care so much about that.

I would strongly recommend snipe transferring something so you're the original owner. Especially after this happened to you. It happened to me as well, but fortunately Glove bought Nerd's and my name back for us and we all transferred them. I don't have to worry about anything now that I'm the only owner who bought from minecraft.net.
What do you mean? It's not like somebody is going to gain the knowledge overnight of setting it all up including getting the times synchronized properly, buying everything like proxies, VPS etc (Which would cost more than the name would be worth) just to have a chance at maybe beating them. If nothing happened when I transferred my nice af main, nothing will happen when other people try to transfer their stuff. Just make sure that Lyphiard and Chearful/Ninja are fully informed of it. When I was transferring mine, I bugged them every other day with questions about it because I wanted to be 100% everything would work out and it did.
Well I do have an unused Minecraft gift code with me so I could use that to snipe/transfer something. All I need now is an OG name xD[DOUBLEPOST=1484688897][/DOUBLEPOST]At the same time though, a two letter account also seems very enticing. What to do oh what to do.

Sloth in all honesty you should receive some sort of compensation for the account from the guy. It's not fair to you that you've added 2 capes to the account for the account to get taken back from the OG ( without you knowing he did) and contact mojang as a last result. I'm not sure if he ended up giving you the account back but he should of never pulled it in the first place. If I sell an account I'll give you something to help with finding your new OG. I do feel so bad for you and it's truly a tragedy that something like that had to happen.
Thank you but you don't have to give me anything dude, I appreciate it but the most someone could do to help at this point is tell me if any OGS are becoming available so I can potentially snipe them.
