Should I still have a forums for my minecraft server?

Hey MCM.

I'm planning on starting a Minecraft server and I was thinking about something. With discord being as popular as it is, should I still make a website for my server? I always liked having a website, but I'm not sure if I should use them. Is it better to just use discord? Should I use both?

I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Not really imo. Extra money to upkeep and realistically barely any servers even have forums that are active. It usually ends up only getting used for announcements or some random stuff that no one really checks for many servers. Discord imo is a way better way for your community to interact with each other.

I agree with PradyXT - Discord is much better now. No one uses Website Forum anymore.

Discord's forum function don't really come close to the functionality and feel of a real forums its more of just a gimmick feature that has niche use cases imo

If you want to really make it perfect i should use both but at the start you wont need an forums and it wont be used alot because an discord server has tickets system but lets say you get a bigger comminuty an forums would be much better for you and your staff instead of getting spammed with tickets / DM's an forums would be helpful.

I've noticed that bigger servers use forums and they are still used quite a bit. I appreciate your input. I'll probably just start with discord.
