I'm about to open a server with a YT, who has 20k subs. We're expecting 50-80 players at release. Should we worry about the EULA? Will mojang ask us to comply before they block us? Or will they just automatically block us?

They won't fuck with a small server, so don't worry about it unless you start getting a steady playbase of 1k+ over time. I'd so feel free to break the eula for the first couple weeks after release to gain some income to make up for the large expenditures you'll probably use for things such as advertising etc. I'd say do whatever you want until Mojang catches you ;p

(WHY HAS MY TEXT TURNED ITALIC WITHOUT ME PRESSING ANYTHING STUPID IPAD)
Thanks buddy.

Just ignore the EULA for now. Even if your server was blacklisted, all you are required to do to get removed from the blacklist is to just start complying with it. Setup your donations normally until you start receiving warnings from them. It is very unlikely you will have an issue for a long time unless you get a large player base.

Also make sure to note that if a server is blacklisted all the have to do to be removed from said blacklist is to change the pay2win element so that it obeys the eula, so basically even if you do get blacklisted it's easy to get out of it. (You can still break the eula as a well known server and not be blacklisted if you're clever enough, just look at hypixel) edit damn guy above me ninjad
They remove you if you comply? That's not what I thought, lol.

If you're on the blacklist and you change the server and begin complying, you can be taken off the blacklist iirc. That's what all the drama was with about the blacklist, the whole issue was server owners refusing to change their ways because they needed a reliable source of income and would lose it somewhat. Just take a look at the drama alert video on it, pretty informative.
I thought mojang would simply just think you're trying to take advantage of the system, and keep you blacklisted.

Coming from someone (ie. me), who is the owner of 2 small servers; StalemateMC (10-20 playerbase) and ViolationMC (not opened yet), I'm not worries about the EULA, as its not worth the effort to fight any server that has a playerbase thats under 1000. I'm personally keeping both my servers ~100 after my hefty advertising process, and Mojang just won't bother, because:

- Too much effort.
- Not making too many donations.
- Doesn't even know about you.

Hope this helps!

Sounds like the owner off gotPvP
Honestly if I were in the position of a server owner my opinion wouldn't change. The EULA may have some benefits, but the problems far out way them. Besides, 1.9 is my least favorite update and I would have no business using it.
