I understand that minecraft has gone after the large servers who did not comply with the minecraft EULA but do you think small servers (10 - 100 playerbase) should worry about becoming blacklisted? Also how does minecraft find servers who do not follow the eula? What do you all think?

All responses appreciated

People report the servers, and mojang deals with the reports. They must get that many, i can only imagin them taking action with ones with more reports, so bigger servers. Alot of people ignore the EULA and have another EULA compatible webstore items ready. Then if the time comes, they just comply.

As long as you are under 1.9.3 YOU WILL NOT BE BLACKLISTED they will be pissed and send you emails like "Pls Comply fm" but just dont they wont. But yes you probs will be blacklisted on 1.9.3 and above
Lol, where were you when the blacklist took place in 1.9.2? Any server that was blacklisted was unreachable with the vanilla minecraft client versions 1.7 and above.

If i remember correctly they backported that as far back as 1.7, before 1.9.3 was safe, but as of a few weeks ago, it no longer is.

Do you think that having your server on voting sites will impact you in any way? For example from what i can tell the top servers on .org have all been black listed and now comply with the eula. But that also may just be because their huge servers with thousands of players.

Why not comply now so you do not have to worry about this issue later as a result, you'd end up complying anyways.
