Shoutbox Advertisements Plugin

What I'm suggesting here is a plugin built into the current Shoutbox which would allow for saving advertisement messages. This would be a Supreme-only feature. More details below.

So first, we would have a button here which simply said Advertisements. What this would do is allow Supreme users to create individual advertisements (max of 3) which would include the below information:

Ad Name: (This would simply be what you wanted to name it)
Ad Message: (What you want it to say)

These could be easily editable/deletable so users can change them up as they need to.

In addition, there would be a set cooldown of 15 minutes per use of ANY ad. So let's say you post Ad #1, you have to wait 15 minutes before getting to post any of your other ads (for those who have multiple services/items for sale).

The purpose behind this is to possibly help users better manage their advertisement times through an automated system, while allowing users to also save their advertisements and links without having to constantly copy and paste it in. This could be helpful for if you're switching between computers or going from your home computer/laptop to a phone. This way advertisements would easily be accessible to Supreme users at any time.

I dont really think encouraging more people to post their ads in the shoutbox is a great idea. Which having something like this would do.

I think the last thing we want to do right now is encourage people to advertise in the shoutbox.
Personally, if I had it. I would have added more restrictions, but that's just me.

Im not saying it should be done. Im not really sure.
However, if it's not difficult to make, it might be worth your while. You add a certain amount of money (in $5 or $10 increments), and as long as you have credit you get an hourly advertisement.

Yeah, that was my internal reasoning as well, and I started thinking up ideas on how to prevent shoutbox being flooded with 50 ads, and increased cooldown + pay would be an option

I was also looking at the ads and it's like some of them are not noticed at all. But the shoutbox nah chatters will cringe and it won't be really effective.
I say, as already there is a "PoPup ADS" , why not use them?? I can't remember what options they had but i remember that there is a on "Join/loading the page" AD and if i'm not mistaking on a time schedule. And adding only one more feature to this, maybe coded would be really useful to McM and the users.

So my suggestion on this,
If the current feature is not present i bet it wont be really hard to code one which will give the option to the User to choose from a list with pre made suggested interests (What is the user interested in? Selling/Byuing - What exactly and what kind? Accounts, Servers, Plugins, Setups, etc, etc).
This option will/may be in the User account or/and when he first joins the forum and create an account.
It should not be that hard. A plugin that will store all the info in a MySQL tables.And the users with these interest will be assigned to
to the tables rather than the interest to be assigned to the Users.I think that this way it will be less resource intensive on the server.(correct me if i'm wrong).And it will show the user these ads on a schedule, 10m-15m so it won't be spammy?

This suggestion is really sketchy but it has potential and can be developed even more.

Activate the PoPup ADS
- Code the part explained above
Supreme would have this feature "Or you would be able to buy it if you are Premium like an extra perk, as the names are"
Max of 2-3 ads per user
They may be like the ones that are in "Resources"
Resources or Services with bigger rate status will be shown 1st (Optional)

These are some basics but there is so much that it could be done with this, plus it will open a whole new AD space that is not used at McM and it is plugin that already exists (partially)
McM would benefit with one more AD income, users will be happy because they may choose the ads that they want to see by interest and ofc sellers will profit from that much more easy and efficiently.

What's you option on that?

It would cause the same problem as when business accounts was added: A bunch of people who doesn't need it will use it because it is easily accesible.
But a ton of business accounts doesn't bother members, so it isn't that bad, but spam of ads will.

Lol, The people who are posting 'no not more ads please no end my life', literally grow up, if mick didn't want people to advertise their shit then he wouldn't have allowed advertising on the shoutbox, stop acting like this would ruin the shoutbox, if advertising is allowed it's allowed, if you don't like it then make a suggestion about removing it, and stop declining every suggestion just because you don't like advertising on shoutbox, if you want to chat go to discord or skype, I personally get %90 of my clients from shoutbox ads -.-
So yeah, please implement this :V
