I think that users should have logs of their shoutbox messages from the last 15 minutes they are in chat. I'm proposing this because of advertising. If you don't keep track of how long it's been since you've advertised and you talk in chat between your advertisements it can be difficult to see when you last advertised. Also, it can be a hassle to ask a staff member to check when your last advertisement was. This would mainly be helpful when shoutbox is very active and you can't see your last advertisement was.

Patrick: Hey guys! Are you interested in a domain shop? [one moment ago]
Justis R.: Titanic You advertised 1 minute earlier than 15 minutes, if I catch you again, I'm going to have to ban you from the shoutbox.

Why you using me as the hypothetical uptight staff member? Kappa

| As for the suggestion, it's a lot more trouble to implement than it's worth.
If you really want to milk dry every possible second that you could be posting your advertisements in out chatbox, use a timer.
I'd rather not waste development time and money just to handle for you, the recording of your last advertisment.

The rule is there after all, to prevent users from annoying each other with their repetitive and space consuming advertisements.
So if you can't even tell if you've reached 15 minutes yet, you might want to just wait... Because it's very unlikely anyone but you is holding onto their seat in hopeful anticipation for your next ad post. (i.e you're probably annoying people)

This is way too hard to implement. It's not worth it.
