Shoutbox Reactions

Why not
1. no suggestions related to reactions will be accepted
2. this would be a PAIN to include in the UI
3. I doubt shoutbox is even a plugin that MCM can freely edit (might be wrong here)
4. as said, people will spam it

Suggestions about editing the shoutbox have been made before.
As soon as a change is made to the plugin, it can no longer be updated, without having to recode it every time. I'm sure Lyphiard has a life outside MCM and having to keep editing the plugin would be more hassle than its worth.
Its the shoutbox, you can simply say "agreed", "that's funny" etc.
It also wouldn't be able to count towards peoples total reactions or people would just say things in the shoutbox to farm them. Same reason the agree reaction in the suggestions forum doesn't count.
Overall there is little point having them.

The good thing about reactions is that every single time you agree with something you can simply click the button to tell them so. There's no need to have a button in the chat because the whole point of the chat is to have a conversation with others. There's also the points brought up by Ivain and Fire.
