Shoutbox superchat.

Ok, so here me out because a lot of you people who constantly spam adverts are not gonna like this. But how about we add a Superchat sort of feature where users can pay $5 for their message to be Highlighted in chat and so it is Super clear. This would stop spam adverts and also allow the site to bring in more money. Tell me what you think.

It wouldn't have a time limit, just maybe a box around it to give it space to stand out..

You can still advertise? I think it's a great idea. Paying to make your comment stand out in sb would just be a better (more efficient) way to advertise if you have the money to - I see no problem with it.

You would still have access to the shoutbox, but you could buy x amount of dollars and your message would get highlighted and shown to everyone.

I still disagree as we have bought access to the shoutbox and we should be able to advertise without having to pay even more

You can still advertise... But people who pay get their message highlighted so it stands out.

There is a little ad box that can have a message placed on top of the chat built into the chat add-on. It also already has the ability to blacklist certain groups from viewing it if I remember correctly.

I'd assume this would be better than simply a highlighted chat message which would get pushed away from view-especially during active times.

I like the idea, however it would be interesting to see this as a possible feature. For instance, anyone can still advertise as a normal message, and if they would like it to stand out more, say 2.50$ for a "Super Chat" message? Seems quite possible but I do not see it being added in anytime soon, if at all.

I don't have any intentions to create new advertisement packages for the chat at the moment, I'd rather keep that as unfocused on ads as I can so that real discussions can be had by the community.
