I am typing very long messages and my messages are not going up at all, and instead they are going down, yet some person not going to say names or anything can just type "lmao" or "xd" or "uwu" all day and have no correlation to the topic that was being talked about and not get any messages removed.

The “All Time” panel of the top chatters page doesn’t actually go back forever. Really old messages expire and don’t count towards the current all time total. Not very accurate to the name, but perhaps we can rename “All Time” to “Past Two Years” or whatever the current expiry is set to.

How long usually? Because my messages aren't going up at all.

How long usually? Because my messages aren't going up at all.

This is because the top chatters list does not update every single time someone sends a message. Instead, I believe that it is once per hour (or day maybe?) that the list updates to reflect changes in totals.

I'll move this to the bug report archives.
